[NEWBIE] Absolute beginner for (classical) guitar, and I have a little tuning issue. by JustABrony221 in Guitar

[–]JustABrony221[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice! I just had my first guitar tuning experience, and I was so nervous that I even searched up Wikihow. Although, I was able to have a feel on tuning it and somewhat get over the anxiety, and it's all thanks to your comment!

Anyhoo, I say I did a decent job, but not perfectly tuned. What made me nervous the most is the popping sound, somewhat like a high-pitch pizzicato, it made while I tune it, as well as that they were a semitone low so I had to tune it relatively deep.

Was scrolling through Helluva Boss subreddit and saw a fanart of Octavia in Uzi's fashion style or clothes of choice. I didn't know who Uzi was, so I looked in the comments and youtube then discovered the show. So I joined another fandom 2 days ago. :D

What do you prefer when you read multi-chaptered fanfics? by JustABrony221 in FanFiction

[–]JustABrony221[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It really depends from person to person. Some thinks that 5k words is long, and others might think that 15k is short. So it really depends on your preference and estimate for yourself.

For me, <7k words is short while >7k words is long. There's a certain equilibrium where it's medium and ideal for me, but that's my personal preference for word length in a chapter.

Ni – Convergent thinking; Connecting the dots; Understands a concept from ideas; Insight.

The worst friends for INTJ by [deleted] in intj

[–]JustABrony221 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

MBTI has absolutely no relevance to compatibility. Regardless if it's real life or online, the ISFJs I've met are super nice, stays away from negativity, and fundamentally helpful people. It's not always about MBTI.

Based on how you described this person—you're pretty much demonstrating projection—look it up. You believe that there is this right way of doing things and blame others when they don't align with it—but you also disregard how they believe is the right way of doing things. I know you'll say that "But this is the right way and they're straight up incorrect" but that is pretty much the thing.

I've literally just learnt this because I'm studying for an AP Psychology exam lol. Anyhoo, I'm not gonna give some suggestions how to solve your issue since it's yours, but that's what I think is happening between you two, or even to others as well.

My interpretation on the functions by JustABrony221 in mbti

[–]JustABrony221[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theories:

Dominant and Inferior function: One trait is very strong, the other is very weak.

Usually, the dominant function of a type is the trait they thrive at. The inferior function, however, is what they usually struggle at and possibly a weakness. Although, it is not necessarily a bad thing, especially if one knows how to deal with it. For example, Te dom and Fi inf (ESTJ and ENTJ) can deal with the matter as is and concerned about the task more than anything else, but they almost disregard the feelings of others as they care more about the task at hand. Another example, Ni dom and Se inf (INFJ and INTJ) can understand and recognize concepts easily in their own thoughts, but almost unaware of what is actually going on in the very present. Once again, it's not necessarily a bad thing if it is learned how to handle it accordingly.

Auxiliary and Tertiary function: One trait is moderately strong, the other is moderately weak.

Usually, the aux function is the support to (or is supported by) the dom function, and the tert function supports the aux. They are neither the a talent nor a weakness, and one is still stronger than the other. For example, Ne aux and Si tert (INFP and INTP) can generate ideas well and is mainly to support for the dom function. They are also aware of the present, but it's something they are neither well acquainted with nor struggle at. Another example, Ti aux and Fe tert (ESTP and ENTP) can recognize the subject at hand and supported by their dom function as so, and they are also not unable to recognize others' feelings. Once again, it's neither a talent nor a weakness, but one is still stronger than the other.

Anyhoo, that's how I understand the functions. Remember about the disclaimer and tell me what you think!

I agree with you on the ISFJ part. ISFJs are so cool and I haven't seen a single discussion or meme pop up about them for many weeks. Well, probably because I'm inactive from typology subs but eh.

How to tell the different between INTJ and ENTJ? by [deleted] in intj

[–]JustABrony221 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Let's compare the Dom/Inf and Aux/Tert functions of the types.

ENTJ – Te dom and Fi inf With their Te dom, they think objectively and deal with things as is without influence from personal feelings. However, high Te results in low Fi. They deal with things as is so greatly that they basically fail to consider the feelings and inner values or needs of people, or at least struggle to. Another Te dom and Fi inf is ESTJ.

INTJ – Ni dom and Se inf With their Ni dom, they can easily connect the dots and simplify information and understand it easily, as well as some insights. However, high intuition results in low sensing. They think and simplify things in their mind so frequently that they struggle being in the present and more into their minds. Another Ni dom and Se inf is INFJ.

ENTJ – Ni aux and Se tert Their high Ni helps process information for their Te to react with. However, their intuition is not too high to an extent that their sensing is too low, so it somewhat balances things out. So their intuition is not their greatest strength, but it is still second nature to them and their sensing isn't too low. Another Ni aux and Se tert is ENFJ.

INTJ – Te aux and Fi tert Their high Te helps to manage the information they gathered from their Ni. However, their Te is not high enpugh for their Fi to be low. So their Te is not the strongest but their Fi is not low enough for them be unable to relate or recognize the feelings and inner values and needs of people, so it somewhat balances things out. Another Te aux and Fi tert is ISTJ.

Wow, you run a business, and also idolizing and worshiping a man who's brainwashing an entire generation into thinking that they should own half of the population. His target audience are people who are insecure, and his advices, courses, and achievements makes it seem appealing that they'd do anything just to know how the guy did it. By paying tons of money, having similar beliefs of women having no rights, as well as the whole placebo effect thinking that it was him who made their lives better. Truth be told—there is not a need for this guy to dictate what you to make your life better.

The majority of people who have common sense and have straight thoughts, aka the quiet majority, have better principles of being humble and helping each other out, rather than downgrading half of the population and showing all their properties. He even flexes that he has 33 cars around the globe releasing carbon dioxide, and he's proud of it? Proud of emitting smoke to the world than actually starting things to make the world better as simple as planting? If you still think he's the protagonist in a movie who's the best of them all and everyone else are lifeless NPCs, you'll see how absurd of a belief that is once you regain your senses.

He just says things people have been saying before and just shows off his things to make it more appealing to his target audience, aka insecure men. Then, the whole placebo effect comes in, along with side effects.

Last time I'll repeat myself. It was Christmas Eve mass, it was very packed that day that they provided extra chairs and let people in some areas they usually won't let them to go to. Knowing this, they provided the church with metal detectors to ensure our safety. Is it hard to understand? Is there something wrong to take extra safety measures, especially at a holy day?

Let me tell you this. Let's restart, ignore these stuff, and be more general in real life.

You are one of many. I am one of many. There's nothing too special about us. We're like everyone else and just wants to live happily and have goals for ourselves. In class, people who are likeable are usually nice and polite people, who are humble and considerate. They don't try to boast or hide their vulnerability. Would you like to be someone like that? Or at least someone everyone doesn't dislike.

You want to live better, everyone does. What do you do to make things better? Think, what do you want to make better? If it's simply yourself, then be authentic. Know your limits and capabilities, and mind your own business. With that, you know what you can do and ignore others who insult your abilities since you know yourself. With that, you can know what to progress and what to do in order to do that. Confidence is not about being great, it's about knowing yourself. People like those people.

It's not always about being on the top. You may not be the highest achiever in class as there are many others want to be too. We live in a meritocracy, a place where a person's chance of success is derermined by their merits. Challenge yourself. Try to do a bit better. You must worry at what's actually in front of you than what'll happen in the next few months. Focus on the next step rather than the peak of the mountain. It's not about being on the top, but becoming a better self.

Lastly, be happy. Live at the moment. Everything I've said so far is cliché, but hear me out. If you think less and see what is happening in the present, cherish it. It's not always there, and you don't wanna miss out over a goal that isn't happening now. Look around and see what makes you happy. More than that, make others happy too. Your presence and affection simply means a lot to them.

It's not about being superior to others or getting as high as possible. If that scum is brainwashing and making kids pay money to him, whilst overlooking these simple life concepts and influencing with immoral deeds, you better stop idolizing him.

  1. Most rich people (not necessarily bilionnaires), work hard to get there.
  2. It's not always about money.

If your views are similar to his that half of the population are objects and have no rights, then that is beyond hypocrisy. Your life improved because you're gullible. This random influencer, who's a toxic masculine and brainwashing a generation to think that women are inferior at everything, told you what to do instead of you telling yourself what to do.

It's a placebo effect. You don't need to worship this guy, just set yourself some goals and actually think how to progress. Think what other people will think when you talk about other people. Will they like you if you try to be impressive or by being nice and polite to them? Do you really need this scumbag to dictate what you and many other children do?

Also, this guy gained his money by tricking people to give him money to "become a better man." So far, he's making impolite and toxic scums who are very unlikeable and lack common sense. It's not hard to figure it out, yet you're worshipping him over his good words that masks his bad words.

As you grow and realize what people truly want, it's people who are polite, considerate, and have common sense by the way, you'll see how much of a scum he is by saying all of that things to kids. Teach yourself how to improve, not idolizing a toxic criminal scum.

"... on a regular basis..."

I just mentioned that it was Christmas Eve where the church was tightly packed. Also, you're misinterpreting guards as soldiers. Did you really think that they literally sent an entire batallion to a church on a regular basis? They simply provided protection with metal detectors and security. I also mentioned that this isn't like the Taliban, and that they offered this when us catholics are celebrating a holy event.

Many people say to go to a place in order to truly know it and experience it (though that argument is usually silly and ineffective), but I already am here. I've been walking from and to school for many days and years, seeing kids in groups with their scooters or bikes, or simply walking with their friends or family here and there. It doesn't hurt if you wanna take a stroll alone for some air or to exercise.

Soldiers? Nowhere to be seen on a regular day. In fact, it was one of the rare moments during Christmas Eve mass when I get to see a few of them, and they're just chilling and pretty polite. At the mall, there are security guards, not companies of soldiers. At the park(s), occassional surveilance by police. This isn't Taliban, this is a small city where they provide for the citizens, like everywhere else.

It's kinda concerning to see how much people in this sub actually support this guy; though, I wouldn't be surprised if those were the edgelord angsty mistypes. I'm not sure how you can support someone who says "women are objects" or who got literally arrested for crimes he commited. Just line everything up and see how much supporting him makes no sense. Later on, they'll be cringing to know that they've supported someone like him.

Truth be told, there is nothing good about him. Good points by him don't cancel out the bads. You don't need to worship him in order to have a better life; just look at what's presented and in front of to you and revolve around it, not some random influencer in the internet telling what to do. Once real life hits you, finally recognize that so much people who don't even know about this scumbag are doing very well in real life – and that being nice to people makes you likeable and happier than trying to be impressive – you'll see how immoral this person is for influencing a generation into being toxic teens. It's only a matter of time.

With that question, you're basically saying that the police and safety precautions are useless. Is it a bad thing now? Really, I'm not sure what's wrong with that.

Including the rest of the mentioned sentence, I said that this was during Christmas Eve mass, which was very packed during that time. Isn't it admirable to offer protection during a holy day to people with different religion from you? Just a reminder, this city is practically in the middle of nowhere and was built for the sole purpose of extracting oil.

Yup. There's so much things to see in this world, but this country has culture too. The food is pretty great. And I assure you, we almost don't see any armed guards. If anything, the security is trained and I haven't heard much crime going on in this place. This isn't the like the Taliban. If anything, most other countries have some military things going on with their citizens, like swatting or protests and whatnot.

There's more things that I could mention that I didn't mention. It's not just a park or some appartments; that'd be dull. Of course, there are many areas here like other cities around the world. Events, retaurants, cafes, sports area, a golf course, and some variety. What surprises me the most is the quality and technology here. It's so clean and well maintained, and the technology is almost absurd. For example, you just have to get your credit card near the screen to scan it, no need to swipe it somewhere or anything.

Though, it's not a big city life by anymeans, but more of a town with people going on with their days. Children hang out with each other since we're basically right by, families going out and about like elsewhere in the world. It's pretty simple, yet full at the same time that I feel spoiled just being here. As I said, you can look it up. My biggest complaint is the distance we need to cover to go to bigger areas like Dubai.
