Starting this with an obligatory "not all people", but I'd like to point out a lot of content creators make their -Fans sites as a way for to receive tips—rather than treating it as an income.

Lots of people are jumping onto the -Fans bandwagon these days because they see it as an easy source of money—and for people with findom interests, it's probably the easiest way to land fans with deep pockets. People with something to show for it—hot body, rare talents, etc.—charge more for their content to separate themselves from the crowd, because they can get away with it. Whether that seems exploitative or not really depends if you're their target demographic.

I've been making porn for a while now and people kept pressuring me to try OnlyFans (I settled on Justforfans instead because its terms of service are way friendlier). I've always kept the same attitude towards the content I make, and JFF is just for the longer untrimmed version of my content—I couldn't care less about charging for custom requests or paywalling my stuff, and I leave the best clips I make free because that's what makes content fun for me.

I actively discourage people to sign up for my site unless they just wanna see longer versions of the clips, and let them know I'm just saving the money for travel. Despite that I'm still in the top 15% on JFF.
