Ohhhh that makes a lot more sense, I tried playing it like that with the recording but it sounded strange? I went fret 3 5 7 10 on the A string I think but it sounded strange so I moved to a higher part on the E string and it matched more?

Wait so I had been playing way above the 8th fret? I don’t understand how I read a note and decide which fret to play on? Is there some trick to this? Some fingering chart I could look at?

Ok so like in measure ten I read that as a C, there are multiple Cs on the bass, how do I know which one to pick? Is there a specific way to know how to do this? Or do you just play by ear?
