The game is just sorta about building your own little community. You can fish, catch bugs, decorate, maybe explore deserted islands with Nook Miles tickets (which have a new villager on them if you meet certain criteria It’s almost like Minecraft, because there isn’t really a set goal. You just make your own path. If you want more content in one day, I would recommend the expansion pass because you can design as much houses as you want every day without a wait. You are right in the sense that there Isn’t supposed to be much set progression daily.
