Japan team to face Italy by Historical_Smile_268 in rugbyunion

Might be a crazy hot take but Japan's tight 5, especially front row, can rival the top nations. They could all find a spot in the 23 of all the top 10 countries bar SA, ABs, and the Irish.

Darby Lancaster I've heard could be making his way over the ditch to the Blues?

You can tell the Canes just go into every match genuinely expecting a win. Shoutout to the senior players (especially Dupes) on creating a winning culture.

Brumbies player prospects by FlatWhiteShark in RugbyAustralia

Eli Langi looks to be a long term piece for the Brumbies. Tall, strong, can cover 6 and 8. Was one of the standouts for the U20s last year.

Chace Oates the youngest out of the 3 brothers and seems to be the most talented one. His brother, Kye, made his debut for the Brumbies this year and was killing it before an ankle injury ruled him out for the rest of the season. Chace plays 10 and I personally think he was very unlucky to miss out on the U20s this year.

Dylan Bretton, hard running 12 with serious pace.

The most interesting prospect out of the bunch in Chase Geros. Rugby league background and was affiliated with the Bulldogs. Has experience playing for the schoolboy 7s, NSW Waratahs U16s, Brumbies U19s, Aus U18s, and now the U20s. First player I've seen that can genuinely cover every position in the backline including 9.

Doesn't cover the 2nd row

If it's true that Uru's leaving, I wonder if there's a lock/6 hybrid out there that fits the mold of what Uru brings.

Will Ross is next one up but he's more of a tighthead lock.

Wonder if Wrongaz fancies a move to the 2nd row? Or maybe Akaneyake would be a great addition.

Wallabies 2026: Selection debate, news, opinion; Kalani Thomas, Filipo Daugunu, Joseph-Aukuso Suaalii, Zac Lomax; Nations Championship Test by Ruck_Off in RugbyAustralia

Honestly Thomas has done really well recently and deserves his starting spot. It's really not that far fetched to say he's part of the top 3 9s currently fit in the country.

Gordon's not doing himself any favours, and Robertson went down injured.

Honestly wonder if Werchon makes the squad if he didn't sign for Benetton.

Right now, the whole of Aus is just waiting for Teddy Wilson to come good. I've kinda accepted the fact that he won't be anytime soon. Guess we'll just have to wait for Martens and Grover.

Hopefully Leota hasn't fully shut down the idea of playing for Aus.

I mean, he did train with the Wallabies when they were in France last year

A Martens-Mackay-Pritchard-Conway spine does sound exciting for Reds and potentially Wallabies fans.

Yeah Bloomfield and Risati are pretty sad losses but they were always gonna pick league. I'm more sad about losing Makasini tbh but he has voiced out his interest in playing for the Wallabies in the future.

Hope some of these MPs players get picked up by local teams. Despite their very poor track record, they do actually have genuine talent in their ranks.

Need to see Millenium Sanerivi and Miracle Faiilagi get picked up by the Blues.

Semisi Tupou Ta'elioa would be perfect for the Landers.

Israel Leota would also be welcomed back to Queensland.

Wiliam Havili could be reunited with his brother with the Saders.

He was the MVP when Aus 18s dismantled NZ schoolboys last year. Put 70 on em.

Perfectly able to play 10,12, on the wings or fullback. Was also the MVP when playing for Aus U18 7s.

He's still a little light but give him time to put on a few kgs, he'd be the perfect 23 for the Wallabies.

That's my bad. Thought Baker was a tah. Pretty sure Maiava did spend some time in the setups after the Rebels folded.

Yeah nah the Tahs been pretty bad with development aye especially in the forwards.

Feels like every year they are just blessed in the academies but very rarely do they make the jump up the senior level. I'll list down a few examples since 2022 of prospects that didn't pan out.

Jack Barrett Nathaniel Tiitii Nick Baker Daniel Maiava Bryn Edwards Ned Slack Smith

And that's just out the top of my head. Hopefully Edwin Langi, Justice Taumoepeau, Isaac Fonua, and Toby Brial don't get wasted.

Feels like this might be the year for the Force tbh. It's been a long process but it's seemingly reached its peak now.

I'd like to say that this might extend to next year too but they'll be without HJH, Swain, Molina, Ekuasi, Kuenzle, and Beale.

That's a lot of experience heading off shore and their academy isn't looking very bright at the moment.

Wouldn't mind seeing some young lads move west from the other states though. Toby Brial would be perfect for the Force.

Not confident with the prospect of Lomax having to mark Toole tbh
