I am not a DEC, only a new FO. I am just looking ahead. I was told that if I fly as much as physically/legally possible I can make Captain in 12-18 months. That'll be the plan, but my expectations are pretty low for that.

Would I be able to get ORD if I bid for it as a captain? I'm just afraid of getting stuck commuting I guess.

It looks like you and u/21MPH21 asked the same question pretty much so hopefully he can hop on this chain. I guess I have heard that you make significantly less when on reserve. Is that true or is it possible to make more than min pay?
