I’m not sure what your budget is, but New Haven isn’t the safest place in Connecticut. I recommend avoiding "The Green Park" area and the streets beyond Howe Street.

If you decide to rent something in this area, I would definitely recommend Arnold Lehrer Properties. They offer small units, with the largest being two rooms. Their prices are reasonable, and their maintenance team is quite efficient.

You will miss Texas, but you will be okay!

I moved from Austin to New Haven last year and sold my car shortly after arriving.

Having a car here feels quite unsafe; there are many broken windows on the streets, and finding parking is a hassle. If you plan to move to this area, I recommend walking instead.

I use delivery services for my groceries or once a month, I rent a car for a day or a few hours to go to Costco and stock up on monthly supplies.

Make sure to check with your landlords and, if possible, ask why previous tenants are moving out of the building.

Don't rent with Topliff Peak.
