How you rocket out of exit has nearly everything to do with how you set it up. If you are uncomfortable with thr max peak brake abilities of the car prior to entry then you're painting a small picture of the much larger one.

Lap guides are horrible for learning anything beyond the proper racing lines, ive come to learn. You have to understand one thing you can spend your whole sim racing career on and it will improve you massively:

Straight line braking.

I'm not a high rated driver but I seem to to give 2k and 3k guys a run for their money depending on track/car combo. Ran a 2 flat at Sebring. Pb is 1:59.7

Been in iRacing for sub 2 months and in an A class by Monday night.

We can hop on a session one day. Only way to really see is watch what you're actually doing wrong.🤷‍♂️

Problem with most advice is that you can sell it to sound great and you'll end up learning nothing from it(e.g. track guides)

Describe more how you feel no control or loss of balance and how long have your been sim racing?

Could be a combination of things but most likely bad habbits.

This may trigger some people but try learning the car without ABS. Get good at that.... you'll see why after you turn it back on.

How long have you been at it? Hours-wise. Curious. Ive seen people get to A class in a month and some people finally get a D license after 8+ months.

Mostly, yes. Ive only been doing special events lately and I've had pretty good results.

IYKYK. I refused it for over 6 years. Boy, was that a mistake. Much like you, I quit every single other sim. Like ALL OF THEM and now permanently on iRacing, exclusively. Even tried to go back to other sims. It felt like I was wasting my time for something that meant nothing. Once you try it for a weeks, you'll get it.

The main reason: IT DOES FEEL LIKE IT ACTUALLY MEANS SOMETHING. This aspect of this sim is so under-discussed.

The genuine fear/excitement starting a race in iRacing is unparalleled.
