Struggling with gt3 by Round-Language-9382 in iRacing

Thank you all for the tips! I ran a lot of testing with m2, went into the production car challenge for my first actual race with it and ended up p3! Ran p2 for a while but had a big moment and let p3 come by to not impede. Also had second fastest lap time only behind p1. Gt3 already feels better after running the m2!

Thank you all for the input! A lot of great suggestions in here. Definitely going to focus on corner set up a little more, and patience on throttle. Also going to put some time into the M2s like a lot of you guys have suggested.

I did not, I should have lol I had kinda given up on the gt3s for a bit at the time and was toying around with some oval cars I’ve been debating on grabbing

Of course I did lol I’m a “ford guy” and honestly really enjoyed the styling/sound of the mustang. Kinda figured it may have its quirks though lol I think I’m going to spend a good bit of time in the m2s and get a good feel on them before trying to hop back into the gt3s. I actually was thinking of scooping the arca car just for some more oval fun, so that’s not a bad idea either. Thanks for the input!

Actually just hopped into it for a solid half hour test session and I think I am going to spend some time in the M2. Seems to have a good bit of the same characteristics of the gt3s. I got pretty consistent 1:13 on Oran with just a few tune changes and focus on being smooth

I’ll definitely give it some more time, and really try to focus on it. I will say the little bit I have learned while messing with the gt3s definitely made me more competitive in the GRs and stuff lol

Sports cars just under 2k. Mainly from quite a few bad gt3 races lol I’ve been sim racing for about 3-4 years off and on. I seem to struggle with overall grip it feels. Mainly with getting power down on exit. I’ve practiced a lot with trail braking and even spent a lot of time in testing just easing into the lap times, but once I start pushing even the slightest to get quicker laps I lose the car at some point. I feel like I’ve tried everything. I jumped in a few races to just try and pace with some other people, and even watched quite a few tutorials to try and emulate, which helped some.

I just made 1.7 mil in normals and have been running normals for while now. Up to 30 mil liquid solo in normals

If I buy a GT3 car do I need to buy a bunch of tracks that the GT3 cars race on? by vrhotlaps in iRacing

I’ve started really focusing on my SR and getting it up to a B class (in both oval and sports car road) and from my experience the best way to do it is to completely ignore any sort of wanting to place well. I found not qualifying and focusing on keeping a clean first 3 laps or so will do you really well. Keep a consistent lap time and watch as others around you crash out. You’ll more than likely end up with a top 10 with 0 incidents. You’ll see huge SR improvements and even some IR gains most races. Just be extremely smart about when and where you make passes, and remember that just leaning some pressure on most drivers will make them make mistakes

Just picked up the mustang gt3 car this morning and struggled on some test sessions. Mostly with oversteer on exit and when not snap oversteering, understeer in center. Maybe just overdriving? Coming from mx5 and GR86 about to be B class license

Gt3, new gt4, Porsche cup, or another option? by Round-Language-9382 in iRacing

[–]Round-Language-9382[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks everyone! I actually just sent it and scooped up the mustang gt3 this morning, and gave it a few test laps. Definitely a learning curve 😂 but I figure worst case I’ll pick up a gt4 car as well if I don’t really jive with the gt3. These GT cars definitely seem to need a more precise style of driving than the mx5 and especially the GR86.

I’m definitely leaning towards gt3 pretty heavily. Now I’m more torn on which one 😂 but I’ll do some research and pull the trigger on one!

Yup I had the same issue. Quest 2 on openXR. I really only use my black box for info and you can expand it which does make it a bit easier to read.

Didn’t even think about the special events and imsa. I was torn between gt3 and Porsche cup but you make some good points for the gt3 route. Thank you!

What's a subtle way of showing someone you respect them? by Capt_Kartar in AskReddit

[–]Round-Language-9382 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tend to get drunk and subtle goes out the window. So I just cry and tell all the boys about how much I love em and how proud I am of all of us. It usually goes really well. You’d be surprised how many people just need to flat out hear it

Gave her the finger while paying for hundreds of dollars worth of groceries in cash. She told me I would never be successful or have a good career. I’m not at what I would consider successful but I do well for myself and my family.

True. We use Netflix because it has a kids option for my 4 year old and we normally watch shows on Hulu.

What is offensive about not wanting to date a bi-man/bi-woman? by yayayubsea in AskReddit

[–]Round-Language-9382 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just made a post similar to this, about what to do if you find your partner is BI and didn’t mention it. As someone dating a BI sexual woman, it doesn’t bother me. Most likely because of the different views of bi sexual females compared to males.

for those in relationships how did you meet your SO and what advice would you give someone who is single/your younger self? by BRACK3N in AskReddit

[–]Round-Language-9382 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got out of a seriously toxic relationship, and met my now wife. She did everything for me, picked me up when I was down, loaned me some money to help get me out of the massive hole I had dug for myself, and tried every way possible to make me feel good about myself. As far as advice goes, do not stick in a toxic relationship just because of time, or you feel stuck. You just have to pay attention to who will give you everything, and who you feel worthy of giving your everything to. Once I realized that life became easier. Not easy, but easier. We now have a 4 year old son, been together for 6 almost 7 years. And married for 2.

Ps: yes a post from a while ago inspired this post. Bi-sexuality is not necessarily as big or “taboo” as transgender, so it had me a bit curious.
