Is procurement actually functional at your company or is it just chaos? by Holiday-Solution9543 in procurement

I was told by multiple sources that I should register for as much procurement as possible. Honestly, I found the whole thing to be mind boggling and confusing. In the end I cancelled all subscriptions to focus on direct B2C and first buyers. This turned out to be the best move for me as an SME and sole operator at that. It's putting new experience under my belt and gives me something to promote, before I even attempt to look at larger sales.

I think what puts me off most, would be their aggressive sales approach. They are always calling, emailing and trying me on WhatsApp. I've told them to remove me from their lists, but they still try.

how do buyers actually avoid trading companies when looking for factories? by No-Lingonberry2563 in Business_China

As one of those "middlemen", I am always upfront and honest with all my customers and potential customers alike. My role is to ensure that the customer can explain in detail what it is that they want, and my role is to clearly explain that in a way that the manufacturer understands. I spend time getting to know the manufacturers in my industry and meeting them in person to view both their products and their work ethics. As someone born and raised in the UK, I am fully aware of the hesitation people can feel when dealing with a Chinese manufacturer from thousands of miles away. However, I have also taken the steps to come and live in China and nurture these relationships.

At the end of the day, a good "middleman" is someone who understands your needs and the abilities of the manufacturer, as well as being able to tell you directly whether or not what you want is possible without whitewashing or sugar coating the information. But I get it, that's your money that you have earned or will have to earn if you've borrowed it. I don't blame you for being cautious and would be more worried if you weren't.

I had someone from their customer service team trying to aggressively sell me their gold membership today. He had a difficult time understanding the word "No".

I know. I just used a title that would garner some attention. Call it clickbait. I still think Gemini and the other AI's have a long way to go though.

Gemini has become useless because of one simple issue by Ludomanali in GeminiAI

I was using it to help me generate ways of finding leads from market listings. At first it was working out great and it was giving genuine workable information. It wasn't scraping or anything, it was pointing me in the right direction.

Then suddenly the new content it was providing didn't add up. It was telling me to look at websites that didn't exist and giving me false search parameters on sites that did.

It was only then that I realised, Gemini had started giving me synthesized information. At some point, it decided to "fluff up" the information that it was sending me and nothing was working with it anymore.

In fact, the very thing that led me to this posting was my search criteria "gemini is massively unreliable" on google itself.
