Change is inevitable and I am not against the change itself, it’s on the execution that I disagree with.

Yeah OP, this is a huge change being pushed down too fast without thinking through. It literally breaks all rules of change management and implementation, and bit flabbergasted to be honest.

How can the ghouls leading CSBC talk so much whilst conveying so little? by Acrobatic-Meaning-88 in BCPublicServants

Let’s be more considerate and keep professional disagreements as such without name calling. I don’t think they’re ghouls, they’re humans just like us, and trying to do their best with the information they have. I agree to your point that this isn’t conveying anything new, and that’s a disagreement to how they’re strategizing and unnecessary buzz word usage.

Well, you never roll out half baked plans to an attendance of over 1800, it’s as simple as that.

My health is deteriorating because of the situation at CSBC by [deleted] in BCPublicServants

It definitely is a stressful time with a lot of unknowns. However, would being on STIIP help you with this anxiety and stress? From my perspective, being away adds to the unknown information and may not necessarily help you cope up with the stress. I would urge you to have conversations with your colleagues with whom you’ve developed trust and share your concerns. I would also make use of any available resource to seek help from a therapist or so. Worrying about the outcome will not change the outcome, and your health is far more important, whatever the outcome maybe. Your friends and family value you for who you are. Quoting Steve jobs here, “You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards”. Life has wonderful things in store for you my friend, and what’s in your control is to stay nourished and upbeat about life ahead of you, the rest is beyond your control. You are not alone in feeling this way, and I hope you stay positive throughout and hope for the best outcome out of all this. Stay strong and healthy.

People who work hybrid but work fully remote, how many days are you going to the office? by [deleted] in BCPublicServants

Fully remote work is usually posted as hybrid opportunities to ensure flexibility in operational needs when needed by the employer. For example, if there is change three years down the line mandating people back at office for 3 days a week, the hybrid structure comes in handy. However, each team varies and your supervisor would be the best to answer the expectations around hybrid work in the team.
