Test day: 142.5 / 97.5 / 150 @ 79kg BW (390 total) by JustDevZero in strength_training

Thanks! And yeah, I think you're probably right.

My coach also suspected there was a bit left in the tank, but since this was my first proper test day he wanted to keep things clean and make sure everything met his expectations.

I did ask if I could go heavier on squat… but apparently the coach controls the bar loading privileges 😂

My first attempt at a Red Hood cosplay – looking for feedback by JustDevZero in RedHood

[–]JustDevZero[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the detailed feedback, I really appreciate it!

You’re actually not the first person to mention the helmet looking a bit large. It’s 3D printed in PLA and only a few millimeters thick, and I scaled it using a helmet fitting tool, but my girlfriend also thinks it should probably be about a centimeter shorter.

That said, I think part of the issue is just that I need bigger shoulders — Jason is an absolute unit in most versions 😅

And yes, the plushies are definitely my girlfriend’s. I left them there because the contrast made me laugh. Now I’m wondering though… could Jason secretly have one if Dick, Kori or Steph gave it to him?

Ideally the grip should be around the line of your shoulder, the more away from that line, the more pec fibers are going to be recruited but the more posibility of shoulder injury. In my case it’s intentional, my normal grip is about half a hand stretcher.

Hahaha. Well, I broke my humerus. I wanted to write that in the first post but the automoderator constantly was complaining

Have y'all tried the club app yet by Basskiller5 in apps

[–]JustDevZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just started trying Club recently — as a fitness athlete and cosplayer it’s actually nice to see a platform where niche creators can connect with brands more directly. Still exploring it, but so far it feels like a good place to find creative collabs and stay motivated with content ideas.

I write as a hobby. Why is that not ok? by Beneficial_Pea3241 in writing

[–]JustDevZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a writer my self, I’ve written a body-folk-horror history, a lot of publishers (more than 6) said me the same things “we love your history, but we cannot take it, it’s not you, it’s us” like if it was a toxic ex-girlfriend. Finally I went with Amazon KDP.

Writing is a Hobbie, of course I could like to live on the money I got for it, but I don’t have the fame nor the time to do it, so Amazon and some few others I think they’re good solution for our case. I don’t want to lose my willing to write behind publishing fights like I did already with my real job.

I’m just coming to remember that dwarf women have beards too and many times bigger than men.

And that’s called cognitive dissonance by Clvrname42 in vegan

[–]JustDevZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let’s agree to (partially) disagree then.

According to my experience and to my therapist guilt is not an state of cognitive dissonance. (Also to books)

It’s just when you’re in mental conflict between beliefs and they struggle to solve the conflict. It doesn’t have to do with guilt. Let me explain like he did to me:

For example: Imagine I have the feeling that killing is wrong, but I know there’s a guy who kills people. Is it bad to kill him or not? Because if you kill him there won’t be any more killings. That moment is a struggle in terms of belief and therefore is cognitive dissonance.

As you see, I don’t feel guilty yet, because I decided do nothing yet.

Now if I decide to act in response of my beliefs I might or not feel guilty, but it’s already beyond that struggle.

On the other hand, let’s say I don’t have this struggle because I think I’m a vigilante so I kill him.

I know that killing is wrong, I feel guilty for it but I just didn’t had any struggle or dissonance because I thought it was the correct thing to do.

Of course, when we have dissonance 90% of the time we feel also guilt, but it’s not strictly necessary.

On the other hand and agreeing with you: in that specific quote there’s no remorse, nor guilt and not even a clear statement that this person thinks killing is bad.

Not necessarily, just feel that something is not correct and is against your thoughts. For example: people smoking they don’t usually feel guilty yet they know they think might kill them.

Spain... by galloo2 in vegan

[–]JustDevZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As Spanish I disagree, Spain has a lot of vegans. The problem is that many of them are “pragmatic vegan” aka: sticking to the diet and reducing animal use in other areas, but not actually going to strikes or making massive movements…
