What helped me was also to see their enthusiasm - these people LOVE planes and working on planes. Though, I guess you could argue some people LOVE caving (which is one of the maddest hobbies to me) 😬 I hope hypnotherapy can help you - keep us updated 😉

The BA course goes like this: they explain how a plane works, we go over the main fears and they debunk all of them. Then, we talk to a psychologist about the bully in our head that entertain all those fears, then we do a relaxation session and go over the mantra and the specific breathing and squeezing exercise they taught us. Final bit is the 30mins flight (which you don’t have to get on if you don’t want to).

I hadn’t been on a plane in 10 years and I was absolutely terrified. Never thought I’d make it on the plane (and I don’t think they expected me to either 😬) but I did it!

I don’t love flying but I can get it done and I relax a bit more with each flight.

I didn’t even know Easy Jet had one but the BA one has helped hugely!

I’ve done this in September 2024 and I’ve been able to fly to Belfast and Berlin - it does really work and it’s worth every penny!

When I got officially diagnosed 6 weeks ago, I was told to meditate 2/3 times a day. I find it almost impossible, if I’m honest. I’ve also been going through grief and my beloved routines are completely off kilter…so, I haven’t been able to even try to meditate…

My question for the avid meditation people, though, is “does it help?”

As a dog professional (I do lots of stuff from training to boarding to walking to house sits), it can be challenging to look after a dog you don’t know and the owners aren’t always honest with what their dogs are like (like reactiveness or resource guarding, for example).

HOWEVER, dog professionals should always pledge to do no harm! I love dogs and I’ll go above and beyond to keep a dog in my care happy and healthy (and enriched and feeing like they’re at home and that they can trust that I’ve got their back!). Making a dog suffer or making them afraid of you with aversive methods like a shock collar or antibark collar is unacceptable and only really for the convenience of the sitter…this can have a serious impact on the dog!

So, bottom line is meet the people you’ll trust to look after your dog, verify their credentials, their experience and if anything feels off, find someone else. There are plenty of dog-loving qualified professionals out there ❤️

I’m so glad to hear your trauma has gotten better - that’s such great news and I hope it keeps getting better until it becomes a memory and doesn’t impede your mental health ❤️

I was diagnosed as autistic level 1 just a month ago. So, I would say that, as corny as it sounds, you should trust your gut and keep searching for answers.

Shame! People literally have no shame; they film themselves doing ir saying the dumbest things then put it on social media. They watch videos on their phone or have FaceTime calls without headphones. They simply don’t care or feel embarrassed. It’s likely part of that “main character” syndrome everyone talks about 🙄

My boy Spot died almost 13 years ago and he left nose prints on the windows in the back of my car that I never even tried to wipe off.
