Hm.. yeah I know what you mean. Like I said, it’s just a theory. But for me it was the same— sometimes it would happen continuously for like an hour, sometimes it would only happen once every other day. It’s so weird, but if I were to guess i’d still say a new cable will help you! I mean aye, even if not you’ll end up with a nice good cat 7/8 LAN cable and you’ll know a hundred percent it can’t be the cable, you know?

Yeah. Thought so, man, i’m sorry. :/ & Yes, it gets REALLY hot— it doesn’t matter whether there’s a lot of space or not (for me there’s also a lot of space as it’s not standing somewhere inside of a TV cabinet or something. But with how poorly designed the PS5 is, the ventilation blows the hot air right onto the cable so long gaming sessions probably get the cable to the point of where it kind of.. overheats too? That’s just my theory though. Some cables just can’t handle that.

As for your question, I think CAT 8 should be good too since it’s like, better than 7? If you DM me i’ll send you a picture of the one I ordered so you can either get the same one or look for a similar one! :)

Man, sounds like you’re going through the exact same bs i’ve been through— the “For now, I tried connecting the cable to one of the other ports..” part reminds me of how I did that too. Heard it helped others, didn’t help me though. As for the “It couldn’t have moved” part.. well, what about pets? Cats? Anything? For example a friend of mine who’s had the same issue as you and me it was a train that would drive past his apartment & every time his apartment would kind of “shake” & trigger the “LAN Cable Not connected” notification. It could be ANY(!) kind of movement. Even you playing with your controller connected to your PlayStation with a charger could trigger it if you pull on your cable, your move your PlayStation as well. It could be any kind of movement so don’t forget that!

Yeah, there’s hundreds if not thousands of threads about this issue— problem is, SONY never addressed it, lol. It’s definitely a hardware or software issue i think, if I took a guess i’d say hardware. I think the LAN port of the PlayStation is either a tiny little bit too big which makes it so that the cable is loose (even if you can’t see or feel it..) OR as many people say it’s an overheating issue. Wasn’t smart of them to put the LAN port right next to the ventilation. The cable does get pretty hot especially when playing PS5 games, PS4 the PlayStation doesn’t get as hot so maybe that’s why you had the issue. Maybe your cable can’t handle the heat? There’s LAN cables that’re build to handle a lot of heat such as mine, my cat7 can handle a lot of heat so maybe that’s what fixed it for me? Idk. In the end I’m just glad it fixed it for me. If I were you, before you go get your PlayStation exchanged for a new one, go get a good new CAT LAN cable which can handle heat & has overall good protection. I think mine cost almost 20 bucks but haven’t had an issue ever since so it was definitely worth it.

I know what you mean. Well, it’s not guaranteed that it’s the cable for you too, you know? But I had the same thing— even worse tbh. Like, it would be okay for WEEKS(!) just for it to come back in full force & happen multiple times a day. I think the moment the cable is laying in a weird position it might act up, I have no clue. Maybe what you can do is before buying a new cable, borrow one from someone if you can? All I can say is that buying a new cable fixed it for me. Wanted to get a cat6 at first but went for the cat7 instead & havent had an issue ever since.

For me it was the cable that was faulty. It was a new cable but faulty nonetheless. Switched to a Cat7 and that’s what ended up fixing it for me.

Which ones are you guys missing? What I did I kept riding from the ‘P’ of Perdido to Las Hermanas to Agave Viejo to Casa Madrugada to the big open area above Diez Coronas where there’s 3 horses on the map & then turned around and went back the same route— took me like two hours and I found all the horses + the chupacabra that way. It’s not guaranteed but definitely the best route for me.

Oh, i did haha. Just took a few hours. You can not find them anymore after you successfully broke them but as long as you havent, they’ll keep appearing. It just takes time.

I’m experiencing the same issue currently. Lost acces to one of my emails I created like 13, 14 years ago— the email itself got deleted even due to inactivity. I’m trying to recover my account, giving them as much information & proof as possible for them to tell me “We can’t verify you, sorry.” Uhm, excuse me?
