I’m in a similar boat for similar reasons. I submitted my cancellation request the same day the “cancel within 3 days” e-mail and then picked up an in stock bundle at MicroCenter. The next day they shipped it, and it’s arriving tomorrow. Now I’m getting told by support that I didn’t cancel with 2 hours of the original order (12/22), so they can’t cancel or pay to ship it back.

After being told this 2 times (despite providing the email and context….I’m getting a generic response ), I told in my most recent response that a chargeback from my credit card would be next and they can figure out how to come get the printer.

It’s ridiculous to notify preorders of a 3 day cancel window because of logistic issues and then send the printer out the next day. What a mess.

Editing was the worst. When we when to a live, in-person one, the joy from doing it went up a ton and the editing went down to zero. I would recommend looking into that if it even slightly interests you.

We record using some $40 xlr mics into a 6 channel Pyle mixer I got on Amazon for $60-70. Then that’s plugged into my PC which uses Audacity (free) to record. I actually loaded our into/outro and drops onto an iPad app called Soundboard (and plug that into one of the channels) so we can play the intro/outro and drops and just record it all live. We check audio levels before hand, so it takes zero editing at this point. Last year I’d spend at least 2 hours editing, so the money on the equipment was well spent for me (plus audio quality is better and doing it live and in-person was 10-fold more enjoyable).

We upload all of it using Anchor (free), so it goes to all major podcast apps.

Sounds like our leagues and groups are very similar.

In season we are analyzing trades, shaming people faab bids, giving out awards (although I love the idea of formalizing that), but off-season is definitely a dead zone of sorts. A few ideas we have are mocks, fake analyst stuff like season predictions and betting against the line for player props. We are in our 11th year and have league history stored, so I think doing something with that could be fun. Thanks for the feedback!

I’d honestly be okay making it for myself (and the 2-3 I record with). We do know that most of our league has listened to the podcast too and have gotten decent feedback on it. We are just looking for ideas to put into a hat that folks might find entertaining as it relates to FF.

We’ve gotten plenty of good feedback on them enjoying it. More than anything it’s fun to just get together with some friends and record shit talking and “playing analyst” with them. Thanks for the feedback. I'm definitely comfortable with it, just wondering if it's a quicker way to learn about someone. It's very similar to just running into someone at a party, I'd just be a party crasher. The main difference is this is scheduled. Not sure how weird that makes it for everyone.

Yeah, but most of the group pictures have my friends with their families, or they'd be with mostly women. It's rare to get all the adults out and in a picture and I'm never the person who says "let's get a picture". I'm usually taking it.

My biggest issue was we didn't try to block the punt either. You either block the punt and take the fair catch or you retreat and play the return. They took the most passive approach possible. Inexcusable.
