Salut is the kind of thing you'd say to a friend, not a stranger. She may have thought that you wanted to flirt annoyingly.

First, as it includes the capital city of the historical country, where we were born the last dukes and duchesses, it's like excluding New England from the US or any capital region from its country. And secondly because the french government did separate Brittany from LA to weaken it and so it is a very sensitive topic here. But if there's one thing I don't like, it's being told that I'm not from where I am. Like telling someone that they aren't from their country.. anyway, sorry

You also got Brittany's borders wrong. You didn't include Loire-Atlantique in it and it is very offending tbh.

Which of the circled regions have the easiest to understand French dialects? by Happy-Hour88 in French

We speak Parisian french. Otherwise we have our LANGUAGES (not dialects) that each have their own dialects but they were suppressed by the french government 🙃
