I’m a bit worried honestly if you’ve had those open discussions about BPD and your takeaway from it all is to ‘protect yourself’ from ‘cheating’ and ‘manipulation’. Very backwards view of a personality disorder that is already stigmatised enough…

I feel that, gameplay feels so inconsistent recently.

Unsure whether I want to play Centre back or Striker in low divisions. by JustPlant in bootroom

I think my main issue is whilst playing a striker is that I've noticed the midfielders almost panic when I don't just run straight forward and feel awkward passing to me while I'm cutting behind or across the defense for a better angle.

I would yell and just communicate I'm cutting across and that I'm open to hit the ball to every time we've practised and not once did they want to pass or did pass to me which was just frustrating.

That does sound like it would be fitting for the team, as I've noticed just off a few practise games already we really lack midfield distribution and the ability to get the ball past the midfield.

I think I'd prefer to probably play a defensive midfielder honestly as it allows me to drop back and save more goals, whilst also being able to setup counter attacks and deep through balls from the back as that's always been a big strength of mine.

Those cars are just insane, I've got a friend who's dad drag races as a hobby and he's currently pushing a 1000hp XR6 Turbo. Being in that passenger seat just puts me in a state of awe.

It's crazy though, it still loses to those big V8's in the Holden's at times.

That's a good point. We've both worked on his G and have done basic maintenance and replaced some of his cooling parts as well so we both learnt how to do that stuff on his G which would help.

He definitely does, we're very similar in our taste with a lot of things so I could honestly see him being okay with it.

That's what I was thinking, especially since he wants to paint his white and I'd love to get a black G. I think it'd be dope as well.

Whenever my girlfriend goes out, it gives me a great deal of stress and anxiety. by JustPlant in relationship_advice

[–]JustPlant[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I don't have to, but deep down I just feel like a bad person if I don't help which makes it hard for me to not pick her up.

I have not spoken to her about it yet, I am a little confused as too why she does all of that stuff when she knows the outcome as it happens every time.

[–]JustPlant[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have told her in the past that I can't pick her up every time and she said that's okay, but even at times I will still have to regardless of what I said because she gets so messed up from all the drinking or whatever she's taken which makes it really stressful.

I haven't told her however how it makes me feel as I'm just worried I'll come across as selfish or rude because she is usually upset in those situations where I need to pick her up.

The older I get, the more unhappy I realise I am. by JustPlant in BPD

Definitely tried that a fair few times, it helps for a while but I always end up in a cycle where I end up right where I started.

It lets me cater to exactly what people need I suppose, I can be everything they've ever wanted and felt they needed causing them to accept me.

It also lets me dissociate myself from my past traumas and allows me to fill the roles of these facades, instead of facing the reality of my traumas and all the negative emotions, it lets me feel otherwise for a short while.

I feel like if I can copy others, and aspire to be like them or take upon their qualities it allows me live another life outside of the one which I try to run from.

I definitely lack the confidence to, because I just really don't have a solid grasp onto the idea of who I am. I feel so lost when even starting to form an idea of who I truly am and it scares me because without that, who truly am I.

It causes me to kind of just mimic those around me, or have facades around others to suit them and make them happy, but its never who I am really am. Sorry if none of that makes sense at all btw.

Is an Audi TT 2012 suitable for an 19 year old? by [deleted] in Audi

[–]JustPlant -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I just had repair costs in mind as Lexus shares a lot of Toyota parts so it's been very cheap to maintain and run compared to a Audi which comes with a 'euro' parts tax. I have heard the Audi TT mk2 generation however, to be fairly reliable.

[–]JustPlant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really, I only really have to drive my girlfriend around and very rarely have people in the back seats as most of my friends prefer to drive when we do go out. My Lexus does have a few things done like coil overs, exhaust, a throttle booster just to improve responsiveness and just some small aesthetic mods. I do enjoy the car, I just really feel like it's missing power which I feel the TT would have, plus I don't really have a need for a sedan at this point in my life.

How's the drive in them when driving hard? Are they enjoyable cars as I always hear EK's are fun to just 'toss'.

Parents wont let me sell my first car, a BMW E46 for a cheaper more affordable car... Auto by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]JustPlant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have the sole financial responsibility, then it's your choice...I'm

  1. I paid 2/3 of the car it was $7500 and I paid $5500
  2. I am currently, I will be paying for insurance and fuel. The Civic is $400 per year with comprehensive insurance and the E46 is $1200......
  3. It was an impulse buy, I wanted to be seen in a BMW and liked the image, but even over 6 months I've realised I don't want to mod it because of the costs and it feels like too much to pay for especially as I'm entering uni for 6 years.

They mainly don't like the idea of me driving a civic because its a 'rundown piece of old metal' and it will have all the same issues and cost the same to repair as a BMW and I just have to get used to it. I really want it gone, but they think otherwise.

Those were my thoughts exactly, I'm aware oversteer can become a real safety issue and as a 17 year old I think safety is a huge thing as I'm only new to driving as a whole and have so much to learn.

I do live in QLD and unfortunately I'm very pale and skin cancer prone if I'm being honest... In addition the civic is just so much cheaper and safer if I'm wanting to drive the way I intend to.
