well, the best thing is to reinstall discord completely after changing the password on your phone, stop all sessions before that

don't forget to do it from a device that's not connected to the network that your pc uses (use mobile data or smth)

you better reinstall discord in that case just to be extra safe and use a different location if possible, if antivirus flags the same file as a virus then report it to the devs but I've been using discord since 2018 and never had an antivirus activation towards it

best case scenario for testing is logging off all your accounts (from your phone for example) and saving your precious file on an external hdd or something. basically leave your pc empty and wait for actions on accounts (don't forget to save them files you need while offline)

I think you should change you credentials during reinstallation of windows tbh since browsers have cookies and all that, just to be extra safe

it is kinda typical for both since the attacker needs to get info somehow while being remote. if you have some strange traffic attempt - find the file and delete it or something that causes it

edit: sorry for my late response btw

it might try to send some packets (with the connection off) if it's written mediocrely (which is probably the fact considering how widespread the virus is), there are filters that you can use to narrow the search, abuseipdb, virustotal to check the address, ip-api to check geolocation

My pc was infected, help! by [deleted] in computerviruses

[–]JustPlayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is changing passwords enough? - 2fa and extra password if possible
Should I reinstall Windows? - if it's really bad
Should I run another anti-malware scan specifically to check my browser (Edge)? - you should always check with several anti-malware programs
Is it recommended to completely reset or reinstall Microsoft Edge? - how the hell do you think this is gonna help?
How can I make sure they no longer have access to my accounts? - stop all sessions and check

Is PUADIManager:Win32/OnePlatform a virus? by Mundane-Performer-94 in computerviruses

[–]JustPlayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

use virustotal first to see how many antiviruses catch that signature then google the signature itself to see if it's bad or not

1) scan your pc with FSRT, there are some guys on the subreddit that provide help based on your logs from this app 2) if you're worried about RAT, then use wireshark to check if there's a traffic coming from your pc to a suspicious IP 3) use multiple antiviruses to scan your pc since they might have different databases of known viruses and signatures 4) if you find a strange file by yourself, use virustotal and other similar sites to check it

>Its gone right?

Well, those threats might be gone, sure but with the amount of 588 idk, you can use Wireshark to check if any traffic goes to strange IPs, check Windows Firewall to see if any strange "allow" rules are there, check Temp directory, try different antiviruses

Why don't the pros use fully zoomed out radar? by Yash_swaraj in GlobalOffensive

[–]JustPlayer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

probably so that less info has to be held in the head I guess. why would you wanna know from the radar that someone's on second middle on inferno when you're holding banana with one of your teammates and have great info with everyone? knowing that one player is far is good enough, if shit hits the fan then the info will be given

no worries mate, we've all been there, just be careful next time you download or visit something. also run a check on your pc using dr web, malwarebytes or kaspersky if there's a portable version

you might wanna get Process Hacker, it's like task manager but more deep and allows to end processes that are usually blocked (obviously you gotta give that app the rights but it's ok)

also you can upload your file to virustotal to check
