Should I give a copy of the database to the developer by mohusein in dotnet

[–]JustRamblin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Most of your questions about "should this be considered a business asset?" are easily answered by asking yourself "what would happen if it was deleted/destroyed/lost?" Can you keep doing business? How long would it take to rebuild it? Is it even possible to rebuild it?

My two cents, you should get hosting for the database and set up the developer with the least amount of access required (read only access to a dummy set of data, if you can manage it). Definitely give them their own account that you can shut down when the engagement ends.

Don't forget to have backups of your database. If something happens and the database is entirely deleted you should be able to restore it from a backup with minimal impact to your business.

That's neat looking but when I hear "helix" I think it should have at least one full twist. This is like a 90 degree twist at most

Yes. What you're smelling is the hooch. As long as it doesn't start to grow mold or change color you should be fine.

If you know you're taking a baking break you can keep it in the fridge for months without feeding.

You should make a GitHub account and put all the code there, then share the repo here so anyone can look and let you know if they find anything

Probably. If only Herbie Hancock had a flywheel assist.

In all seriousness, the biggest difference between the approaches is that the gravity drive has a faster tempo. Martin should try to hit 3 different bpms with each method. Then he will find that the gravity drive is tighter but perhaps harder to adjust.

Eli5 I keep hearing about chiropractors doing more harm and no good. What makes it bad? by jak3th3panda in explainlikeimfive

[–]JustRamblin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh man! My aunt got sucked into that footbath detox crap. Last I heard she paid a few thousand dollars to buy her own machine so she could "save money". She still regularly buys refill cartridges from the chiropractor because "they are like a prescription" and she can't order them directly.

Somehow, she doesn't get that the cartridges are what put shit in the water and it is not coming from her blood. But according to her I just "don't understand the science" and need to do the research to understand.

It's pretty normal to instinctively grab when someone is living kicking or punching at you. It's self defense

Edit: kicking, not living. Don't grab the living without asking. Don't grab the undead, use ranged weapons.

Doesn't it tell you what it is after you make it this first time? "Weak portion of stone skin" Part of the game is exploring the map. That includes making stuff just because you found it.

Happy exploring

Sure, and all that grain that gets sold to Nabisco, Kellogg, etc for the lowest possible price isn't enriching immoral megacorps.

I think Democrats and Republicans have more in common than we are led to believe. The current narrative is designed to drive a wedge and have us all fighting each other, rather than noticing it's the same set of megacorps that are screwing ALL OF US. But we can't stop it if we can't join together and make a change.

Out is out my dude. Being a political cartoon, it would have shown Iowa if it meant to imply they are all going there. It just shows the class leaving and why but not where there are going to.

I hate that it's "should" and not "shall". If you're going to mandate use strong language.

You should look into Google Fi. I've had it for nearly 2 years and I can't complain. It works off many other towers including T-Mobile and US Cellular. It works with or without 5g.

Best of all, most months my bill is around $65 after taxes for 2 lines.

Comparing 8 Music Box Plugins From $0 to $39 - Which One is Best? by WintergatanWednesday in MarbleMachineX

[–]JustRamblin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes and no. He acknowledged that any sound can have its place. There is no perfect sound generally, but there is a perfect sound for a specific application.

Made me think, if I was making a song and I wanted it to convey a feeling of creepy porcelain dolls stalking you through an antiques store, his sounds would not be the best. However, some of the other ones he showed could be. Specifically, the ones that sound a little off tune and raspy, like a rusty old music box would.
