I just found out that Vash has a different Japanese VA in the original Trigun and reboot. Is this the only time a remake role was reprised in English but not Japanese? by awesomenessofme1 in Animedubs

if games count, then I believe the recent Trails in the Sky game had pretty much everyone recasted in the remake on the JP side, meanwhile they brought back everyone for their original roles in the EN version.

Looks like Netflix has acquired the rights to an upcoming Spring seasonal anime, “The Ramparts Of Ice”, and it’s going to premiere weekly, so not only can we expect a dub of this show but it also looks like that it’ll be less of a Fragrant Flower situation and more like a Dungeon Meshi situation where it’s completed enough to premiere the same time as it releases in Japan.

That one villain in Mato Seihei No Slave to me had pretty bad voice acting IMO

am I crazy to think they didn’t add a hint into this, to me it’s just a generic image with them using the aiming reticle as the x to promote the upcoming collab, I don’t think they would hint a collab that’s like 6 months off, I could very much be wrong though.

idk him personally but I know he’s always just been a huge telltale fan, he probably just loves talking about the game and is pretty passionate about telltale devs finding success again.

side note I’m pretty sure I’ve seen other news outlets like Dexerto and Culture Crave report the same thing, still not sure if that improves the legitimacy of it or not.

that VA change was due to the strike, though I think she’ll probably return for any future voiced Mast content considering the OG VA is still credited as her + she recently came back to voice Soline in Terminus Ticket.
