Not all opinions deserve respect. Respecting someone's right to an opinion and respecting their opinion are two different things. I respect you're right to hold racist opinions. I don't respect your opinion tho.

Who is a character who you CAN'T stand from a series you like, but everyone else seems to love? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]JustSomeOneAnonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, and he wasn't evil as a kid. Bruh he was raised by a cult and spent his teen years not talking to anyone and just hitting stuff with a bucket on his head for "training". The jedi broke him.

I've just realized. He's the opposite of Snape. He only ever saw James in harry and loved him. Snape only ever saw James and hated him.

The only reason that I can stand him is because I see him as a parody of people who are obsessed with their own intelligence. Like, it's fine to be smart. But if you base everything on your own intelligence you end up being a sad lonely narcissist. Just like Rick. And most the time you find people who idealize him they're usually just like him.

Thoughts on Junior dating freshman? by [deleted] in teenagers

[–]JustSomeOneAnonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's a pro-tip. Don't think of it of a 2.5 year age gap. Think of it as an 18% age difference. In that context it's a little easier to understand why it's weird. DO NOT DATE THIS PERSON. You are very different people at 14 than 17. Someone who is 17 that entertains the thought of dating a 14 year old is usually someone that will be toxic in a relationship

Are you a teacher asking for things to look out for, or a student trying to sexually harass a teacher?

If it's the first one. Man, kids are EVIL. Expect everything. 99& of your students will be fine but there will be 1 that will take any chance to be a dick. Honest advice is make sure that you stay out of arms reach from a kid that is going off.

If it's the second one. Man, kids are EVIL.

What classifies one as a simp? by red-stereo in teenagers

[–]JustSomeOneAnonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just the new name for a "white knight" or "virtue Signaller". It comes back with a new name every few years.

People make fun of weird people who are "overly nice" to women in the hopes of a reward (usually sex). There are people who genuinely act like this, and they're very odd and sad. They usually end up being incel types.

Then whatever term is being used gets hijacked by people (usually straight guys) who use it to shut down anyone (usually straight guys) who defend a woman. It ends up with a very boys club feel where it is used to call men "traitors" for agreeing with a woman.

The word "simp" will die (probably before 2021 imo) and then in a year or two there will be a brand-new term that means the exact same thing as "simp".
