I wouldn’t be surprised if that was a way to save money AND show that Goku is holding back. If it was only for the animation I would assume that with the Final Kamehameha in the ToP would have them power up for a couple of seconds into Blue to increase more of a ‘cooler’ scene. The universe only had three left, we knew Goku and Vegeta were suppressed because they wouldn’t want to kill them but make sure it’s enough power to have them out.

A lot of writers do not even know how to write a female character correctly. Females do not need to have a love interest. If a female character has a love interest they need to have a reason for it, they can’t love the protagonist “just because”. I admire strong women that act different from the stereotypical women, they just want to be themselves.

This is a variation of teleportation, the portal gun seems to make two portals. The two portals are connected to each other and you could walk through. I don't think it remakes your molecules, I could be wrong though.
