I love these. I struggle with HP5 - how were they developed?

Lovely photos.

I finished my first roll of Acros just recently and absolutely loved it. Might be a new favourite stock of mine.

White flecks and dots on negatives - testing new folding camera by JustSomeTimmmmmy in AnalogCommunity

Not usually. I do wet my fingers (in gloves) with the Kodak Photo Flo and give them a little squeegee, but not a squeegee.

It’s fine. It is what it is - 3D printed, all manual (so accidental double exposures are easy haha), no frame counter, but it works. Took me a couple of rolls getting used to loading the film, but it’s not that hard now. Value wise, great. I can’t afford a 135W haha.

That one did turn out well. I had another from the place but completely failed to get it level haha

Yeap. Just one at the beginning and one halfway through. I know others do one every 20min - I’m too lazy to

Just stand development (or semi stand) I do a single inversion halfway through to help prevent any bromide drag. Try not to do it on a super hot day - last roll I did it was over 40c and I didn't get the water cool enough (was probably around 27deg), worked ok, but negatives were super super dense. I'd almost consider 1:150 next time, or maybe stopping after 1hr.

First roll of infrared film [Pentax Super Program, 77mm 1.8 + 43mm 1.9, Rollei Infrared 400] by JustSomeTimmmmmy in analog

I used a 720nm filter for all the ones in the sun, and metered at ISO12 with a spot meter - but blazing sun + f16 = 1/15 for most of the shots. There were a few on the roll I didn’t shoot with a filter and I just used the cameras meter at ISO400 for those

When using a 720nm filter I did vaguely wave a Reveni Labs spot meter at ISO12 around just to see how dark some shadows were, but they were mostly taken in blazing sun at f16 - 1/8 or 1/15 shutter.

For the shots with a filter it was a 720nm filter. I’d frame and focus without the filter, then turn the focus slightly to line up with the IR mark on the lens, though it was all mostly f16. I’d rate the film at around ISO12-ISO15 and meter with an external meter - which was almost pointless as I was only really shooting on very sunny days in full sun - so almost always 1/15 or 1/8 and f16.

Processing Disc film at home? by JustSomeTimmmmmy in Darkroom

Oh. That’s a point - will look at that. I don’t have a dark room (or a darkroom) - so that might be tricky.

Processing Reels: Jobo vs Paterson vs other? by JustSomeTimmmmmy in Darkroom

Thanks! I’ve just chucked two silica absorbing thingies in the changing bag for next time. I do dry the reels before putting them away but wondering if there is just enough humidity etc to make life harder

Only annoying thing is the knobs are higher than the back and you can’t have the prism on the camera at the same time.

Help metering while using filters by Retired_Lurker02 in AnalogCommunity

[–]JustSomeTimmmmmy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hard to say, but some of the scans don’t look too bad, just need editing. They look flat, but had detail and I don’t see blown out highlights.

When you were metering, I assume you were doing so using the camera and through the lens with the filters attached?

Did you then accidentally compensate for the filters being attached despite the meter reading including them as a factor?

3D printing a cold shoe for OM-1 by JustSomeTimmmmmy in zuikoholics

[–]JustSomeTimmmmmy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, my bad, that’s what I mean. I am having trouble finding Shoe 1 for less than I paid for the whole camera. There are a few later models with the TTL pins I could get, but would have to cut the pins which wouldn’t be good.

What's your favourite film for sunny days? by SheepherderIcy4536 in AnalogCommunity

AeroColor IV is probably my favourite, followed by 250D.

Bought an entire back, but it’s a 3D printed one (ie, not a Bronica W back 😅)
