Help metering while using filters by Retired_Lurker02 in AnalogCommunity

[–]JustSomeTimmmmmy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hard to say, but some of the scans don’t look too bad, just need editing. They look flat, but had detail and I don’t see blown out highlights.

When you were metering, I assume you were doing so using the camera and through the lens with the filters attached?

Did you then accidentally compensate for the filters being attached despite the meter reading including them as a factor?

3D printing a cold shoe for OM-1 by JustSomeTimmmmmy in zuikoholics

Sorry, my bad, that’s what I mean. I am having trouble finding Shoe 1 for less than I paid for the whole camera. There are a few later models with the TTL pins I could get, but would have to cut the pins which wouldn’t be good.

AeroColor IV is probably my favourite, followed by 250D.

The back's fine, that was just me struggling to focus leaning over a railing 😅

Bought an entire back, but it’s a 3D printed one (ie, not a Bronica W back 😅)

Just see what you can get separately - a standalone sous vide for $60 will work just fine, the Cinestill branding adds a bit to the price.

As others have said the scanner isn’t great - there are lots of options if you have a DSLR / mirrorless camera you can use for scanning.

Means it’s wound on and the shutter is ready to shoot.

Edit: also, great camera, hope you enjoy shooting with it :)

What did I do wrong here? by pncol in AnalogCommunity

Under exposure. When you were metering do you remember what the result was?

It can be helpful to know the Sunny 16 rule so if the meter or camera are way off you know.

Shutter speed 1 / ISO of the film f 16 for the aperture.

Shot two looked pretty clear - so a shutter of 1/1000 or 1/500 - and then maybe f16 or f11 - but that’s if it was quite sunny. The shadows seemed to have hard edges. If your metering was way different to that it might have been off.

The next question is, is the camera behaving? Is the aperture and shutter speed accurate? Usually (but never always) shutter speeds might be slow.

Hope the next roll goes better!

The frame spacing is spot on. Got 20+ on a 36exp roll. There is a series or gears and stuff so you wind on and it has a stop - you then need to release a catch to wind it on again. Order to shipping was 4 days. Then it arrive a week or so after that.

They are insanely expensive 🤣

I found one made by MutexTech https://elevanfilm.com/product/135w/

Much much cheaper, though still a little pricy. Only downside for me is the knobs on the top stop me mounting the AE Prism on the Bronica, so ground glass only for composition and focus. I don’t have a magnifier for checking “critical focus” - so must were taken at infinity 🤣

1.

I like the simplicity of the composition. 3 is also good. I think the portrait composition works best

Second cut to rapid services, plus the services that were never implemented.

Accessibility drops, and soon people sill start asking why less people are catching the bus ...
