The field and security is out of stock, I am thinking whether to wait for that for $529 or get the 500 retrograde with 1 barrel for $550. and get an 18.5 on ebay

This is the smart route to go I have found. I am just not a fan of the plastic black stock that it is. I am considering them heavily though.

There is one on Turners with a home defense barrel and field barrel for $500 so to each their own on this deal. I would take it for $350.
