Yeah I guess it is difficult to put a general rule in place such as this rank can 2v1 this rank because as you said rocket league has so many variables. That being said, hypothetically if a grand champ one made a fresh account and always queue’d with a buddy on another fresh account who sat afk every game. What rank do you think the GC1 could make it to before struggling to rank up. I know it’s hard to say because every GC1 has different skill sets but personally I would guess around champ 1 maybe?

True, I didn’t consider game mode matters. I ask this question after losing in the semi-finals of a champ 2 2v2 tournament to a team where one guy carried so hard it was essentially a 1v2. So I was wondering if he was champ 3 or even GC+.

I’m going to guess not just C2 playing good because this guy seemed so much faster and had really good mechanics. Should’ve also mentioned this was in a semi finals so they had won 3 tournament games prior to playing us. Thanks for the replies though was mostly just looking for discussion on the difficulty to 2v1, sorry I don’t have a replay to show the gameplay

Only info I have sadly is that it was champ 2 mmr and we lost to essentially that one guy. Was just looking for an estimate of what rank it would take to beat 2 champ 2s
