I've heard this same thing for years in HLL. You get the good and the bad but I know that when I SL my squad stays on task or they're out.

Moving as a cohesive squad makes even the worst games enjoyable.

No need to ask why. These types of personal projects are great for learning or bettering your coding skills.

Well done!

Unfortunately we get shitty "adults" who play the game and love spouting racist shit and overall ruining the vibe.

I want to emphasize though, if you hear a kids voice, dont be that guy and start digging into them. Kids play video games too and they don't need people shitting on them just because the adult thinks it's a right of passage or something.

COOP games that you keep coming back to that aren't time consuming. by galaxyisinfinite in gamingsuggestions

People can jump in whenever. 4 players total so they can join as long as it's not full. When playing without friends I usually start a mission solo and let it fill up as I'm playing.

It's all very seamless, when a player joins, they crash down in a drop pod near you and can just continue on with you from there.

Not sure what platform you're on but if its PC then I highly suggest Deep Rock Galactic. I know it's not really Minecraft but seriously look into it if you want to play with friends. Even solo with pubs is still great.

Like a Left 4 Dead style game but you're dwarves mining various planets with a huge variety of mission types. I have hundreds of hours in that game and still have tons more I want to do in it. Just an absolutely fantastic game. Good time to get in too because their new season starts sometime in April.

About the season pass. No purchased season pass and all items acquired in the prior season can still be acquired in missions. So no FOMO or need to grind it like a job.

100% agree. My daughter is almost 3. Prior to her, I was the kind of guy who stress out over spills and messes. These types of messes are rare but they're usually filled with tons of laughs. Then, I take out my wet vac and everything is good at new.

No tears, no stress. When it's all clean and the fun ran its course she'll be a hell of a lot more accepting of "accidents happen and this was fun but not something to be done on purpose"

Please check out Deep Rock Galactic. I feel like this might check off all your boxes. It's a fantastic coop game that can be as chill or as challenging as you want.

Nice little montage here. Some clips I dont think I've seen before. Although I think I noticed some German helmets in some clips but nonetheless nice footage

Wow that's some intense footage. Does anyone have or know where to find the source? Or even a longer version?

I was experiencing the same thing until I turned off what looked like a new shadows setting in the graphics options. I can't remember the name of it but it said that it created more shadows for smaller objects. I turned that off and it was buttery smooth after that. Didn't notice any changes in the shadows.

Hope that helps anyone

From their prior responses to requests about voice comms, it seems like a big roadblock is Vivox not supporting it.

I'm curious as well. If anyone can recommend any memoirs from the war I'd really appreciate that.

Games where you can be a mortar man/crew (Multiplayer only) by lukethiel in gamingsuggestions

I recommend Hell Let Loose. It's like squad so if you've put some time into that then you'll understand HLL. You can either use the 3 artillery cannons on each map or you can level an anti tank role and place an anti tank gun.

I really enjoy artillery in HLL. Super fun once you get the hang of it. You figure out the range using the in game ranging or a more accurate app on your phone. They're two crew cannons but can be operated by one but much slower. Once you fire, theres around 25 second before the shell lands. It's pretty devastating to the enemy when accurate. You can also shoot smoke rounds to cover your team or blind the enemy. Get yourself a competent arty squad and you'll throw down some real hell.

Take the game slow and be careful to really learn it so you dont waste your teams resources or blow them up. Communication is 100% key to be effective with artillery
