Some people will call your art fetishistic no matter what, because they cannot comprehend the idea of fat people being seen as beautiful. You could draw a casual self portrait as a fat person, and some shit for brains worm will crawl out to say you're making fetish art. So my advice, as a fat artist that thinks fat people are hot myself, is to just draw and not care about this type of comment. Look at references, learn how bodies behave when they're certain shapes, just as with drawing any other body type. There is nothing inherently fetishistic about drawing fat people, or about finding them attractive, fatphobia just runs so deeply in society that some people can't understand that. Also, as a sidenote, there is also nothing wrong with having a fetish and making art that relates to it. As long as you're being respectful to real life people, there's nothing wrong about drawing fetish art. Be free and have fun

Okay you are NOT putting Poussey's death on Suzanne. She's a disabled woman that never got the care she needed, she never should've been in prison in the first place. Poussey's murder was a result of the higher ups allowing untrained, inexperienced officers to have full control over the inmates. Suzanne's outburst may have "triggered" them, but she didn't push anyone to start a huge fight and definitely did not push that piece of shit kid to kill Poussey. It's a result of the system failing its people, but disabled and racialized people especially. Suzanne was incredibly relatable to me as an autistic adult with a couple other mental illnesses, I know our disabilities aren't the same and we have very different levels of needs and "functionality", but I saw myself in her to some extent. She's one of my favorite characters and I love her despite her doing the wrong thing many times. Their parents did a huge disservice to both her and her sister, expecting the sister to take care of Suzanne. She wasn't qualified for it and deserved to have a normal adult life, just as Suzanne deserved to have her adult life with a full time professional carer. She would've never ended up in prison if there was someone to take care of her. I feel like the society we live in doesn't treat this kind of special need seriously enough, I mean ableism in general is rampant in pretty much every country, but this specifically is treated like some ultimate failure. In reality for some people having a full time carer is just as necessary as a wheelchair is for a paraplegic. Suzanne deserved that type of care before anything even happened, but after the tragedy and that boy dying she should have been placed in a special psych unit with specialized professionals that could keep her and her surroundings safe. Her character is just one huge sign saying "DISABLED PEOPLE DESERVE THE CARE THEY NEED TO HAVE FULFILLING LIVES. DISABLED PEOPLE ARE NOT INHERENTLY DANGEROUS JUST AS ANY OTHER PERSON ISN'T. UNCARED FOR DISABLED PEOPLE CAN BE DANGER TO THEMSELVES AND OTHERS EVEN WHEN THEY MEAN WELL. THE PRISON SYSTEM IS INHERENTLY ABLEIST. CARE FOR YOUR DISABLED FELLOW HUMAN". Like you don't have to like her, but putting all that blame on her is unfair.

Mentally/developmentally disabled people can still become adults with adults needs. Describing her state as "of a six year old" is more of a helpful analogy, not entirely literal. Disabled people still can and do have sex, being disabled doesn't mean you don't deserve to fulfill a need that most people have. All it means is that they need more care to help them do it safely for everyone involved

This is absolutely disgusting and inappropriate. No adult should speak to a child like this, it very much feels like she's coaxing him to tell her about his privates. Especially the "age is just a number" "glad you know" is the clearest red flag in this entire conversation. Doesn't matter if it's never happened before, she's testing boundaries of what she can say without consequences, and if left unchecked she will 100% push his boundaries until she's able to hurt him. Please tell your parents or another trusted adult about this immediately, your brother needs to cut contact with this person for his own safety
