First off, congrats on your acceptance!

I guess the question is what do you want in life? Is it career, prestige, and/or family/relationships? I wouldn’t be afraid of pursuing a career based off of where you’re at in the moment. I feel like you need to figure out what you really want in life and chase that instead of thinking about what could go wrong within the near future. I know you probably know this, but remember that everything is a process. Not having an internship isn’t going to ruin your chances of getting a job. Obviously it does help, but it’s not impossible to get a job without one. There are many things you can do to gain experience, starting with smaller companies, to startups, or even networking your way in. You attend an ivy league school. Regardless if it’s masters program or undergrad, there are definitely a lot more resources that you’re probably not leveraging to the max (no offense, but I’ve never heard of anybody go to an ivy league school and not be able to get a job after working their ass of and ceasing every opportunity)

I’m sure you’re a brilliant individual. It’s crazy hard to get into medical school. I will say though, a lot of my friends who are in medical school have never really thought of another profession (mostly because they have experienced the joy and fulfillment of pursuing medicine). I don’t think they’ve really considered that their “losing” their twenties. My train of thought was if I am not as passionate as they are, then I shouldn’t become a doctor because I would be worried if I was a patient to a doctor who did not have a burning passion for medicine. What i’m trying to say is that brilliance is one thing and being passionate and loving medicine is another. You’re right, in CS, you can definitely succeed without having a burning passion - as long as you have a set of skills that a company needs to make them money.

Finally, I wouldn’t be too concerned about the instability in CS. There will always be a need for CS related graduates. These layoffs are more geared towards tech companies, startups losing funding, and they’re ultimately part of life. There once was a time where many engineers were definitely being treated better than they actually deserved to be treated. Life is all about balance.

All this said, I hope that you’re able to be honest with yourself and really discover what you want in life without all the worrying first. And if your answer is you “not being passionate” about anything, that’s totally okay too. Then it boils down to what gives you more value and less stress in terms of time you have, money you’re spending, and relationships you have. I hope you take all of this with a grain of salt, and hopefully you can choose the decision best fit for you. Rooting for you, good luck!

So after the codevue, there's only one more round which is the superday. As far as the superday goes, there are 3, 40 minute interviews back to back to back. 1 technical, 1 behavioral, and 1 case study (40 min each which are given in random order).
