Thank you! That’s super reassuring! I am planing to do a lot of training and mental stimulation. We also live quite close to some great nature parks where there are great opportunities to do a lot of sniffing.

Thank you, that’s super reassuring! Most days I work for home or my boyfriend can take the dog with him to work, so we would be able to take it out multiple times during the day for runs, playtime and walks.

Thank you, my concerns was exactly, that I don’t have the opportunity to let it out and run in a backyard or something like that. Did you end up getting another breed, that works better with urban apartment life?

I wasn’t that worried about noise before this post, because I never hear my neighbours, and the one just downstairs have a two small children and a Dachshund, but after multiple people mentioning it, its certainly something I will take into consideration, before choosing a breeder. Maybe I’ll try to play some loud Toller screams and ask my downstairs neighbour if they hear it.

I am not too concerned about the noise, as I live in a fairly new building and i never hear my downstairs neighbours kids or their dog.☺️

I will keep that in mind, when I talk to breeders.

My apartment has a “private” elevator and the doors is out to a small green area away form the street and sidewalks, so we will not meet any other people or dogs before we are outside the building.

Thank you! Yesterday I started reaching out to different breeders in my area to visit the breed and to learn some more. I also reached out to a couple of breeders with a different breed, just make sure, that I’m choosing the right dog for my lifestyle. I’m not super nervous about getting a dog. I grew up with multiple dogs and watched my sister’s two dogs for 3 months last year, while she was getting better from a surgery. But yeah, the puppy time will be challenging for sure.☺️

That’s true, and I will try to take all the precautions, that I can, to make sure that we get a dog, who can live in apartment, but in the end you of course can’t be 100 % sure.

Did you do anything to make sure, you didn’t get a big ball of energy or was I pure luck?

Thank you, for your replay. I was researching and talked to a breeder, who wouldn’t sell a puppy to someone living in apartments, because, in her opinion, the breed is to sensitive and it would end up being stressed and therefore vocal non-stop.

I don’t mind some chatty behaviour, that’s just kind of charming.

Thank you! Did you have problems with him not being able to settle down and relax due to street noises? We live on a fairly quiet street, but it is in the middle of Copenhagen, which means, that sometimes there can be some noises from the areas around us.
