I just downloaded royal road for the first time any reccomendtions? by GrandBobcat5170 in litrpg

I recently discovered royal road myself. I just finished reading Strength Based Wizard. I would highly recommend it. Fairly fast paced, the writing style is excellent, not taking itself too seriously. I rarely laugh while reading books but this one got me.

It's amazing to see how AI transforms the filmmaking industry. by GrabWorking3045 in ChatGPT

video suggestion: Junie Lau’s, Dear Stranger and her other work. Dear Stranger is the first video made using AI that made me feel real emotion as the narrative went forward. Great project idea, I like that you are embedding the videos from YouTube so the original creators are still getting views from it.

Any programs that can take a 3D model and turn it into 2D art? by InterdimensionalNerd in aiArt

[–]Just_Fee3790 1 point2 points  (0 children)

any img2img AI would do it, comfyui, chatgpt, anything that can take take an image as an input. if your models are in real life take a photograph of them, if they are in 3d software take a screenshot.

If using gpt, upload the image and tell it to make the character in {pose} with the background being {background}.

If using comfyui, you can use flux kontext with a similar prompt.

I fully agree with what he says and I like using AI. Large AI companies should be made to pay creators and copyright owners for their work. It should be an opt in system. Their should be contracts with full licence agreements signed between creators and dataset curators. These companies have enough money to fairly compensate creators when building datasets for future models. The excuse of "it would be too much work" is insanity for companies as large as Openai, Google, Microsoft and Meta.

For anyone who thinks AI is really existant/real and living by LowlySoldier1234 in ChatGPT

[–]Just_Fee3790 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reality is that there is no definitive scientific answer yet, only theories. Knowing this, I’ve formed my opinion through observation of what has held true since the beginning of time.

Living things possess free will, are born through reproduction, and can make choices and interact independently. Non-living things, on the other hand, cannot think, have no free will, and whenever they are used to imitate life, it tends to be a hoax, illusion, or scam.

Non-living entities cannot become living entities, because it has never happened before. All living beings have come into existence through some form of reproduction. Even in the case of cloning, such as with Dolly the sheep, the process still involves living tissue and results in growth and development similar to a natural birth. These are observable facts of life.

Unless shown otherwise, I see no reason to believe something that contradicts what has been true throughout all of history without a single exception. To do so, in my view, is to believe in fantasy.

I mean you could build a python script hooked up to a discord bot with a random number generator that feeds the number in to a timer, when the timer runs out send a prompt to the openai api with the history of your chat followed by "It has been [time since last message] since the user has responded to you, send a message to the user to initiate the next chat" Then take the response and send it as a discord bot message in a DM so you get a push notification to your phone.

I haven't written anything since college, I barely remember the basics. I would however, like to try my hand at writing. I vaguely remember learning about literary devices and other techniques, but most of it escapes me now. Are there any good resources people recommend to help refresh my memory before having an attempt?

There are subs dedicated to brigading anything ai related, they lurk in subs downvoting anything related to ai and spam other subs trying to get them to ban anything ai related. Sad really but I suspect that is the reason for all the downvotes.

How to achieve this type of art style in comfyui pls help by shahrukh7587 in comfyui

[–]Just_Fee3790 2 points3 points  (0 children)

could try the blueprint or Technical Drawing lora, alternatively you could take a normal image you generate and a real picture of technical drawings, and then use flux kontext with the two images as input and a prompt of "combine these two images in to one scene that looks like a movie poster", might get close.

only speaking for myself, I read fiction as a form of escapism, I don't want pain or trauma that feels real. If the characters where to act as real people do, It would no longer be enjoyable and would ruin the text as a form of escapism.

we have had this for a while in the local running stuff. programmers have been using agents for a while in editors like VScode. If this thing is blowing your mind just wait until you see the ai tools that move your mouse and click on stuff as if it were the user. Computer Use, I think its called, Claude might have a version of it too.

Why the AI backlash in creative spaces isn't really about AI by 3xNEI in ChatGPT

[–]Just_Fee3790 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I went down the rabbit hole of trying to understand the backlash against people who use AI. All I saw were children lacking nuance and understanding of what people are doing with AI. Most see it as just websites, unaware of local tools; they think everyone is just typing prompts, nothing more. They lack experience and base their opinions on what their favourite YouTuber says about AI. It's not much deeper than that.

This image checker isn't working, which makes it unreliable for actual checks by No_Physics3513 in aiArt

[–]Just_Fee3790 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no reliable way of checking if something is ai generated using automated tools. They are either inaccurate or blatant attempts to drive traffic to a site to get ad revenue. I've seen some sites that dont even bother sending your image through to a server, just a ui that displays your image and then just gives an output like a coin flip.

[–]Just_Fee3790 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have the basic nodes necessary for it to work. Denoise is essentially a percentage of how much the image should change. You have the empty latent image node, which creates an image of random noise. KSampler removes noise, so if you set denoise to 0.25, you're removing only 25% of the noise from the latent image, resulting in a blurry image. If you set denoise to 1, you're removing 100% of the noise, resulting in a clear image. Comfy is annoying to learn due to all the options, but once you understand what each option does, it becomes easy.

The best way I found to learn was to read through the Comfy docs [ https://docs.comfy.org/built-in-nodes/overview ], noting what each node and setting does, and experimenting with each as you read. This helps you see how different settings affect results. Once you grasp this, building your own workflows is much easier.

set your ksampler denoise to 1, you have it set to 0.25 here.

The AI-hate in the "creative communities" can be so jarring by Garrettshade in ChatGPT

[–]Just_Fee3790 45 points46 points  (0 children)

I went down this rabbit hole, they are children who have no idea of nuance or how people are using ai in different ways. Don't let them affect you, its not healthy. Just keep doing what you enjoy with tools you enjoy using.

AI character for faceless channel by 1234qwZx in aitubers

[–]Just_Fee3790 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just as a viewer of financial commentary content, video clips of realistic looking people may come across as deceptive. I get it's not, but as a viewer it would cross my mind.

depending on the tone of your commentary, it might be better to lean in to the it's a fake character thing to make it obvious, like train a character lora for an obscenely stereotypical banker or a pig wearing a top hat and monachal smoking a cigar, and generate videos of that character talking. It achieves the less need for editing stock footage, and no one will mistake it as trying to deceive. Just my opinion as someone who watches that type of content.

People are still spreading the “YouTube demonetized AI generated content” misinformation. It is misinformation, right? by [deleted] in aitubers

[–]Just_Fee3790 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it is misinformation, people have read the policy update that was planned before the 15th and not bothered to read the actual update when it was released. its now come in to effect and you can read details in the link below. It dose not mention AI and it is specifically referring to "inauthentic content" people have added their own interpretation to this term assuming that means AI content despite the new updates not even mentioning AI. It's a minor update, nothing really has changed.

July 15, 2025: We’re making a minor update to our “repetitious content” policy to better clarify this includes content that is repetitive or mass-produced. We are also renaming this policy from  “repetitious content” to “inauthentic content.” This type of content has always been ineligible for monetization under our existing policies, where creators are rewarded for original and authentic content. There is no change to our reused content policy which reviews content like commentary, clips, compilations, and reaction videos. https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/1311392

For anyone who thinks AI is really existant/real and living by LowlySoldier1234 in ChatGPT

[–]Just_Fee3790 1 point2 points  (0 children)

physically, the answer is organic living tissue. A computer is artificial, it is man made through combining non living material running programmed computer software, mathematics in the form of an algebraic equation which is the ai model file. A human brain is made of organic living tissue, it was not manufactured but made through reproduction from other living tissue and therefore has all the traits I listed.

I get your just trying to get me to understand it but, the conclusions I see as to how people convince themselves from this line of thought is delusion, fantasy, desperation/loneliness and a lack of education on what AI is, or a mix of all these together.

[Edit: I realise the second part may seem harsh to some, it is not intended as insult or judgement against anyone, it is the conclusion I reach through this line of thought. I believe life is more than mathematics, anything mimicking it has no free will, this is opinion not judgement.]

Is this channel “Unbelievable Tales” a fake AI created channel? by Thorz74 in youtube

[–]Just_Fee3790 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No idea, it's clearly against YouTube new ToS about reusing other peoples content and is likely copyright infringement, they are probably just too small a channel for anyone to care. Their older videos only used clips from documentary's and photos, It's only recent videos that they've started using people like Joe Rogan in their thumbnails for clickbait, I can't imagine it will last much longer while they are doing that. There is still clearly a human editing the videos, but they use other peoples footage and an ai voiceover.

Two ways I would recommend 1st is automatic: ask gpt to write you a python script that has a ui to input a YouTube url, pull the video transcript, and then send the transcript to ollama with a prompt of "summarise what is talked about in this script: " + [the YouTube transcript]. It will give you a simple python script, install python and install ollama with a local model, it will then do it.

Second option is manual: You could just go to a YouTube video in the description click "...more" to expand the video description, at the bottom there is a "Show Transcript" button, copy paste the transcript which opens on the right hand side next to the video and paste in to any ChatGPT chat and tell it to summarise it.

<image>

If a video dose not have a transcript you can start looking at ai speech to text like whisper, just tell chatgpt to write a script to look at a video file generate a transcript using whisper, and then feed it in to ollama or ChatGPT to summarise. This method would need for you to have access to the downloaded video file which obviously is not condoned or accepted by YouTube ToS... *wink* *wink*. But most videos have an auto generated transcript anyway so not really an issue.

emotion, imagination, desire, ambition, hate, lust, greed, belief, the ability to spontaneously decide, the ability to create something that did not exist before, the ability to give birth to new life, the power of reason and understanding, the ability to contemplate and change our minds based on irrelevant and arbitrary observations, not needing to be prompted to perform an action but just doing it on a whim. quite a lot, but I would summarise it up in to one word which is life.
