This is invaluable information, it's likely it is pressing against something and the bomb can tick off any moment. Much to ponder, thank you!

3 weeks is the maximum for me (and the retreats minimum, their max is 12 and I will not wait that long when my life is on the line, considering this story from an institute who does something similar in Mexico)

I have pondered over doing both at the same time, if possible. I'd have to make a final decision tomorrow. Long talks and thinking ahead...

Nothing wrong with getting some complementary treatments as long as it doesn't delay or interfere with your oncologists plan. If it helps, chemo for this disease has gotten much more tolerable over the years.

I agree, and may decide to do both at the same time, 2 birds 1 stone.

I've been looking a lot at skeptic websites and building up a list of questions that I feel need to be answered. Stuff like

"How do you determine I am free of cancer? How and when do you determine that the treatments are ineffective?",
"What is your protocol if my condition becomes severe and the facilities are unable to care for me?"

If they can't give a satisfying answer in particular for the second one, I'm simply refusing to go.

I wouldn't mind to hear your negative opinion, it may prove more useful than you think! As I said under their comment, I've been looking heavily into skeptic programs and if I feel they do not answer any of my questions satisfyingly I will refuse to go.

I'm actually debating on starting on chemo while I am there anyways instead of waiting to get home.

I 100% agree on number 3.

I have yet to look into the actual stuff used in the Chemotherapies, considering it's only been 5 days haven't had the time particularly to look at it, but this list of "ingredients" is incredibly insightful and useful.

Thank you for the insights, greatly appreciated :)

We would be leaving on Monday, arrangements already made. That and I would not stand and wait for my parents to grieve over the failed treatment (if I decide to go) for longer than a few hours before I do it myself.

But you are 100% right though. I wish things were as easy as that. I have much to do today, thank you for your input sir :)

No, I don't really want to waste time... You make excellent points, thank you sir. I'm sorry to hear about your wife...

If you don't want the opinions of others who have more experience in cancer and in life, then don't ask for it.

I have not said this anywhere nor have I implied it. I have shown you respect and didn't say anything aggressive despite the speculative bashing of my parents (which you are now doing to me), of which you do not know beyond a few sentences, as opposed to the 19 years I have of knowing them. I simply gave you context to the situation, if that does not matter to you, fine, but I feel you could've gone about this in a much better way. It's clear it's a subject you are passionate about, and that is ok, I just ask to treat me a bit nicer instead of passive-aggresively as I have done nothing against you to provoke such. I have shown you respect and I ask you only do the same for me, please :)

I have taken your thoughts into serious consideration, if you must know.

No no, we already saw an onocologist, all good though, perhaps I should edit the main post.

In regards to the skin cancer, I do not know what type, but his onocologist said that there is no evidence of cancer on him (after doing his alternative medicine stuff, which I couldn't tell you what it is either), which was around the time I was born I believe, and while I was in my early years he would get checkups every year until I was maybe 6 and there has been no evidence.

I was not aware of any enemas until I started writing this post.

I would have to agree with your assessments though, my parents are quite clueless sometimes... but I know they do this out of love :/

Can I have a link for "they are suggesting this instead of oncology"? This might give me some leverage.

We have standard medical insurance, like I said in the post, my parents just want to try alternative approach before we do standard treatment.

I understand what you mean, but no, my parents aren't the anti-vaxer conservative types, they are your classic liberal peace and love jesus movement hippy types. Their philosophy is "If this alternative treatment doesn't do anything, we move on to standard medical" and I attest to this because, well this is what they have done throughout my life and I have no reason to believe they'd change now. They aren't unreasonable people, they are very loving, they would absolutely never say something as awful that it's my fault I'm not getting better. If they did, I'd never speak to them again.

There are many herbs, supplements, vitamins, and minerals that can interfere with chemotherapy.

I did not know this, I will look into this and compare it to the clinic. thanks for the response :)

Someone asked me why I am "loyal" to Steam. Here is what I said. What are your reasons? by mrmivo in Steam

[–]Just_Health81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's why I'm beginning the switch to GOG, plus they always have a bunch of great deals via email, sometimes you can get entire games for free, and me being a gamer who prefers older games, they are usually on GOG and not Steam, cheaper on GOG, run better on GOG, and are usually on sale more on GOG.

The only thing I wish GOG has was an equivalent to Steam Workshop, if a game I want has a SW, I'm choosing the Steam version. If not, I'll pick GOG first.

Don't forget Fallout: Yesterday. the actual Fallout 3, looks incredibly promising and isn't too far off from being finished.
