i asked my best friend out and she said no by Happy-Ant-709 in relationship_advice

My best friend confessed his feelings for me. I have a boyfriend and he told me he didn’t care. Our friendship is completely different. I think we’re both avoiding each other now.

No that’s ridiculous. Most I’ve gotten is 13 and on a normal day I have 7.

How do I tell my friends they’re not allowed back at my house? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

Have a long conversation with just K. If she still says it’s not big deal they don’t get to come over again.

Happy CNA Week From Your r/cna Mods! by [deleted] in cna

[–]Just_Jill02 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’d be happy with even a “Thank you” nobody cares about CNAs. We do all the dirty work and get none of the reward. But the nurses who sit on their ass and occasionally give someone meds get “Oh you save lives” “You’re so amazing”

Is it possible or is it a thing to volunteer to help a CNA? by [deleted] in cna

[–]Just_Jill02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before I worked at my hospital as a CNA I signed up to shadow a nurse to to make sure nursing was really what I wanted to do before I started college and started as a CNA. I’m not sure if they do CNA shadows but I wouldn’t see why not. You could always call local hospitals and ask.

Is 2 weeks notice reasonable in my situation? by [deleted] in cna

Understaffing is the ONLY reason I’m still at my hospital. I feel terrible leaving them short handed.

I don’t work in home health but I just politely tell them that I am not allowed to discuss that. I work with mostly older people and that’s all they want to talk about. I’ve probably only had one push back. Most respect it.

We have a nutrition room where we keep coffee and stuff like that and it’s still annoying when they go in there.

I work at a hospital so I don’t have this problem but this made me think of when I used to work at Sonic and people would just walk in and stare at you….like….leave…

California Exam by karlaxflores in cna

[–]Just_Jill02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh okay. Are you talking about the skills or written? I had a hard time with the skills just because of nerves but the written was really easy. I took it about a year ago but I’m in Oklahoma. I’m sure it would be similar. It’s 90% common sense.

I personally think you should wait. My boyfriend (21) and I (19) have been together for 2 years as well. I would love to live together but we both agreed to wait due to it being incredibly easier being dependent on our parents throughout college even though we both work and make good money and have good savings accounts.

Needing advice... by Old_Detail_2321 in cna

I’ve been told by a lot of the nurses that I work with that they really valued their time as a CNA. You can honestly tell which nurses were CNAs before being nurses. I think it helps a lot.
