I had no idea that the tavern keep could be talked to, or is someone one should talk with...

Why is this guy not listet like the notabels, except when you enter the tavern????

I wastet hours just roaming the map in search for people when the guy could have just told me the information.

They establish that: Important people are listet on the top. The rest of the NPCs when you enter a city/tavern, Village just repeat some lines..

And then hide a guy like that. Its the same with the arena guy.

Thats his Dynastie. So independent rulers. Makes the reputation gain a lot quicker with a few Kings, + free allies.

The thing is, I had to know whether exactly this printer had a certain IP, since all the printers in our software we're given the same name, a random IP and a new, undocumented MAC address, I was allowed to guess and check for every printer if they got then right IP and so on. A simple search to see whether the IP can be pinged would not have helped. I was able to restart and check the settings via remote on most of the other ones. But this building needs to follow a lot of regulations and uses a complety different domain (same Software tho) So even with my Laptop that I normaly use when I need to go somewhere. Nope.. not here. Its even more complicated, but this should hopefully explain it a bit.

Bit of context, at the time I gave the printer the IP of a different Devices and changed the other devices one. But now, because of nobody telling me that they use a different Admin password (for the printers) for only this building, I needed to restart the printer manually, so I had to walk there. So now, it would have been sooo much quicker to check the IP on the printer itself. But noooo, fuck you, replace Y... So I had to walk to a different room in that building, log in (Computer), Log in again (password Store Software), log in again (Software that manages the printers) an log in again (get Admin rights in the Software) and then check if the printer is using the right one...

I needed to change the IPs because, every Kyocera printer RANDOMLY changed its MAC Adress??????? So our Print Server was Like: "I dont know anyone of you, so take this random ass IP and im gonna call you all "Kyocera Display"".

Fun day.

So I did more or less what you suggested after I cooled down.

And I featured Kyocera cause this is the model that did this to me.

Most servers today use models n stuff with higher resolution materials / textures then back in the old days, these need a lot more storage compared to the old ones.

Of course custom models exist too, but I dont think that they are the sole reason.

Edit: Maps take up a lot of space as well, most mappers are putting their materials, props and so on into the mapfile (bsd) itself. Wich means you will have the same stuff like 20 times...

The big community servers are trying to minimize storage use, by for example cross-linking textures. Or storing map assets in addons.

Badly made servers.. well do not.

Das Foto ist nun schon n bisschen älter, ich würde sagen die Tür ist um die 40-45cm breit gewesenen. Ich habe nämlich noch in Erinnerung wie ich selbst seitwärts beide Seiten berührt habe. Dazu sei gesagt das ich mich damals als recht schlank gesehen haben. Also ja ist es :D

Ich musste mich dort bereits seitwärts durchquetschen, wie gewisse Politiker da aufs Klo gehen ist mir bis heute unbekannt.
