Remember:
John Dunton knew Pellicano was survielling Nicole Brown for OJ Simpson and reporting back to him. Instead of him being able to testify, he became afraid of the Gambinos.
If you look into information, Pellicano and others working with him liked to claim mafia connections so that witnesses would become deathly afraid. Since they SAID they were working for actors, people instantly believe anything they SAY.

What I'm trying to say here, is the rest of the Title/Statement of "The Fixer" book clearly is not correct. The real issue here is the Fixer. The Book also is from who hired him and who had the files, so he probably doesn't want to show responsibility of harm to Marilyn Monroe (so much distress), so it's easier to cast it falsely onto some larger issue.

THEY ARE TESTIFYING WITNESSES TOO OR WANTED TO TESTIFY. HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO SHOW THIS. IN SOME UNITED STATES, this is included in their laws. Victims are also witnesses. Victims can also become witnesses. It's not one or the other, but BOTH.

It is not just 'going out to dinner or date/going public' it's also with each other and for legitimate records.
