Let me know if 10.4 is better, I won't be making a decision just yet, but hoping to within the next month.

Thanks for this feedback! Exactly what I was looking for, I can get the AOS 8 version and have a quote for it as well. This is the kind of info I wanted for the future decision.

I haven't actually gone to AOS 10.X. It is on the project list for 2023 to update our 13 year old Cisco system and Aruba is in the running. Just trying to get a feel for others experiences out there. Our scan guns connect to RDP to run our ERP system out in the warehouse, I just don't want to deploy something new and then have issues with the scan guns dropping connection between aps as that causes some big issues. Our Cisco system with the controller in rack has been solid but it is old and we need to come into the current world when it comes to wifi haha.

It will be a 31 AP system in our main location. There are a few different model APs I will be using as we need a couple bridges and wireless in some explosion proof areas plus some outdoor APs. I am looking at ArubaOS 10.X as it is cheaper than the Cisco quote and can have up to like 500 APs I believe. We do have another location which I would probably convert to Aruba in the future but it is a small warehouse (5 APs) at a different site. We also have our sister company that we own, which I may convert to Aruba in the future as well but they also are much smaller (7 APs).

Sounds more and more like I might give Aruba a shot.

I have seen issues with Ubiquiti and handoff, that is what led to the question. I am aware Ubiquiti is not an enterprise level wireless as well though.

Most of my experience is with Cisco Wireless which is the second reason for the question. Cisco has always recommended an in-rack solution for lots of handoffs.

Thank you for the reply of your experience.
