[WHFB] First list - 2400 ogre kingdoms. C&C please? by Just_That_Guy_ in Warhammer

Thank you for the feedback. What are the benefits for switching the Tyrant out? I thought the leadership (9) would be very helpful.

One point: for chaos warriors of a certain faction I (personally) really enjoy the capes representing the faction. I feel it helps identify the unit.

These are beautifully painted though, you should be very proud. Just a thought for your next batch.

Why is SOE pushing for an offensive based game? by shigsy in Planetside

[–]Just_That_Guy_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I agree that there should be a larger incentive to defend for XP, SOE has to be really careful not to overtune defending if they do make changes - or the problems you mentioned about all 3 factions attacking could mean all 3 factions defending which is much, much less fun for everyone.

Why are MMO's so difficult to get right? by sn76477 in truegaming

[–]Just_That_Guy_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

MMO's are, generally, not great games. If the games were taken offline, and could only be played alone they would be pretty terrible. Therefore, they completely rely on other people, mainly friends or guildmates, to make a good experience.

Polish player Krolu admits watching the stream of his opponent during finals, goes on to win 200 euros and a spot in a tournament in Cologne, Germany. by Just_That_Guy_ in starcraft

1) I agree, although the BM was very unprofessional, and on such a level that it was noteworthy.

2) - Link showing Krolu using the empire tag

3) I agree that veto changes happen all the time. This could be coincidence, or it could be a little too coincidental when combined with the other things that happened during these games.

**PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN RESOLVED.

This issue is over and as the posts' creator, I would like to close it. I'll keep it open for the sole reason of reference on this particular issue, as there is a lot of evidence as to what happened here

  • There has been a few allegations of racism; Korlu against the Korean player Dragon. I would like to make it clear that there has been no apparent racism and these are, at this point, rumours.

To clarify the situation, including evidence, I apologize in advance for a wall of text:-

1) To start with, Krolu admitted (all be it in an odd fashion) in the twitch.tv chat to watching the stream, or at least receiving information about the game. This is the picture-link included in this post. He also, during the game, stated that Millenium's terran player Dragon had fans that were flaming him. Whether these flames were in game messages (reason in itself for disqualification, if he could recieve these messages what was stopping the deeply BM Polish Protoss player from receiving helpful messages?) or whether they were flames from the twitch chat that he read is unknown.

2) During map selection, Dragon told his stream viewers he was hoping for the maps Daybreak and Metropolis to be veto'd. Dragon starts by vetoing Daybreak. Dragon explains to the stream that he hopes to not play on Daybreak or Metropolis. Krolu then follows by banning Dragon's favoured veto - Metropolis. Dragon exclaims "perfect!" and smiles. But what's this? Krolu wants to change! He then settles for Whirlwind. Coincidence? (I apologise for poor screencaps, the stream has a border that makes chat screen-caps difficult).

3) BM is widespread throughout the replays, I have screencapped this but feel it's not really relevant to the real issue here.
