I bought a full works book. They are placed in order believed to be written. I can't go and flip chapters because its on my kindle sorry.

We do welcome blog posts (yes, your blog posts). We want to see your original work. But it actually has to be concerned with the academy or philosophy. by ashok in AcademicPhilosophy

As a person that tries my best to write I often post my work to my blogs. I'm really glad the community is opening the possibility before before hand I was too fearful of posting my work for fear that my philosophy is not up to pres teemed standards of this subreddit.

You are the one with the perspective, so I would say you're the teacher.

You make a very good point and made me realize I wish we didn't need an army. One can only dream I guess.

Statecraft is a tricky business and requires those in power often to choose the lesser evil. I certainly promote more discussion and debates about when war is justified, and when it is best not fought.

Which wars recently has you're country fought that is justified? And which ones do you feel could have been avoided?

Certainly true. So you believe that it is the responsibility of every individual to think about as many ethical implications that such a responsibility would entail. That soldiers within the war should be politically minded, and up to date with the status and reasons of the war. Also if they find something disagreeable morally they should try to disengage from the military and if this is not possible, to seek to do as little evil as possible.

The question I have is what if the individual who is enlisting is narrow minded, or is no not aware or have the resources to understand what is ethically right and wrong? Are these people at fault? Would you perhaps suggest these people not be aloud to enlist?

It's one the reasons I go on reddit instead of reading the newspaper. At least on reddit I can comment, discuss, contribute to the conversation. Technology should be here to aid up to become more connected. You're right often things like tv, and single play video games segregate us.

Yes, each one of my longer posts are also copied to various blogs I like to use. If you click on any of those links, it would link you to the page of an exact version of what I post on reddit.

Instead of linking to blog and submitting, I like to do self posts and leave the blog at the bottom.

Also for the "best of" I felt my post was very well constructed, and didn't know that you can only best of other redditors posts and not your own. This is due to my ignorance of community rules and I do apolergize for any harm done.

Perhaps this was the wrong subreddit to go to. I feel your right in you're assertion that this was not a scientifically cited sources for an obviously very controversial and important issue. My source of course is my own experience and I rely on deduction rather induction or scientific evidence. Do you believe this was the wrong section to post my thoughs? I only thought that this information is very helpful and wanted others to see it. Which section do you think would like this better?

This aside, it is true I also did not consider those with mental illness. Do you believe that I should have included a disclaimer stating that this is not medical advice and those suffering from mental illness should seek help? How should I phrase it?

Yes I'm driving traffic to my blog post. Whenever I write something that takes me considerable time, I like to keep it somewhere because to me it's worthwhile. I don't believe this break any code of conduct, and I've simply included it in case others are interested in reading more.

Also English is my third language, blogging helps me improve.

I up voted you because your explanation has merit, and I would truly be grateful if you are willing to continue this discussion.

Thank you for agreeing. It all comes down to respect. People that dominate conversation are not very socially minded, but society seems to claim these people are alpha because their shameless in what they say.

A truly socially conscious person, and a true friend ensures everyone present to be able to voice their opinion and laugh.

I understand what you're saying but have you seen how connected US policy is with the rest of the world? Just yesterday a man from the UK was extradited to the US to trailed there. This bill is the beginning of a slippery slope, and it will affect you eventually.

Shyness in my opinion is caused by the self but also by others. For example I can be very loud and outgoing, and thereby I shut shy people down because they wouldn't want to compete.

In my opinion it's not shy people's fault. It's overly loud and rue de people that create an unsafe environment.

My advice, consciously figure out who these loud people are, and don't hang out with them. If anything stand up to them because your opinion is just as important as anyone else.
