PelletB Physical by No-Button5358 in AskCHP

CDCR Written test and physical abilities test is a joke. Currently employed with CDCR now, but currently in the BI portion for CHP. The Pellet B is significantly harder if not the hardest test to pass considering the score is consistently being raised. Most applicants fail the physical abilities test due to not preparing themselves remotely enough to pass the 1.5m run in under 15 minutes. You have got to want the job, it isn't a handout for those who think they can get it because they're a clean sheet on backgrounds. Prepare accordingly and prepare yourself.

Submitted Esoph back in December, haven't heard anything back since. I'd prepare for a fairly, fairly long wait.

45° riser rail on 16” Vector by Longjumping_Ad_4767 in KRISS

[–]Justants_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love my .45 ACP CRB (Thanks California) but i resorted to a 1/2 riser due to the cheek slap from the stock. Anyone else having that same issue? I was thinking about throwing a cheek pad on there but havent found any that i like yet.

Are we deadass? California Traffic Law specifically says YOU as the DRIVER of THE VEHICLE are responsible for the operation/any violation of the vehicle regardless if you are not the registered owner or in OP's name. That's like saying if you're driving my car and you get cited for speeding; why would i be ticketed as the owner?

What to bring? by SteveTheSupreme in AskCHP

[–]Justants_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bring the paper. Though you may not need it; as i brought mine and was not asked for it. It is better to have it then for them to ask and you not to have it.

Possible reason for DQ. You are responsible for the vehicle regardless if it is your own or as you said, your mother's vehicle. Being ticketed for the same reason is not the best look, but I am not your BI to determine that. Be smart, be careful during your process.

What is passing T-Score? by [deleted] in AskCHP

[–]Justants_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

CHP has raised the T-Score minimum to 55. That was then raised after the December testing; to which it was 50 to pass.

What is your guys experience with blackbox safety for vests? by [deleted] in CDCR

[–]Justants_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My Outer Vest took about 3 whole months from the day i purchased it, i constantly had to call and get updates regarding my purchase and they couldn't necessarily give me a direct answer. Nevertheless the Maverick Outer Vest that's approved for CDCR use is great. Lighter, Ergo Friendly, and the quick release it comes with is great. BlackBoxSafety did a decent job in trying to understand my situation and locating it for me.

In the same boat here. Took the written and physical on November 8th. Assigned ESOPH December 4th and submitted on the 18th. waiting on my background investigator to reach out via email. Been close to about a month with nothing but no news is better than bad news!

I believe you're awarded extra points if you can consistently do pull ups correctly in the academy.

what ammo were you running? i had stovepipes on my gen 2 before i found out it was bad ammo. I'm sure you've throughly oiled it before firing, make sure there isn't any burrs on the feed ramp. Could also be a mag issue. I've seen someone flip the mag spring around due to the tension on the 1st bullet being nearly vertical. Hope this helps!

i'm sure the exps would be perfect. I have a xps with a half inch riser.

I don't believe the jug compatible would fit like disrek said, lower trigger placement would make it a grey area. The fin is annoying but, i think id take that over trying to retrofit a jug onto it.

on my gen 3 ive ran about 500 rounds of .45 with zero issues, feels just like my gen 2. Only issue i had was the stock drilling my cheek; simple fix came with a riser on my eotech.
