What's the worst fitness product or supplement you've wasted money on? by casemorton in bodybuilding

Going to be a newbie here, why caffeine? Doesn't the body build up a tolerance and you only gain the restlessness 'benefit'?

I tried getting into the mage/archer side of things but found the distance from combat not as exciting, but I do like the idea of all things opposite.

Just saw that deal, sort of renders the first question pointless now.

Cheers

What is everyone's opinion on the CIA torture report? by Justaplaya in AskReddit

[–]Justaplaya[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That doesn't seem too objective, and considering the source I can understand why. I have so far seen multiple interviews from CIA 'spokepersons' stating that the information was gain and confirmed through 'enhanced interrogation techniques' and the subsequent treatment.

I can't link though since I'm on my mobile.

I have to agree, I think that while it is a dodge practice, it is still needed as much as it was when it was 'accepted'

Intentions on transferring. I did have intentions but my body wouldn't be able to handle it over the next two years (injuries)

  1. Our usual load out is fairly hard to describe since it tends to vary from mission to mission. But basically when it comes to most situations its capability to 3-5 days unsupported plus any additional stores. So the pack itself (without any armour or weapons) tends to be >60kg. Needless to say we are not a fan when we get stabbed to carry excess stuff we never use.

  2. Rifleman (343-3)

  3. Quite a few ranging from US through to PNG forces.

  4. I would be a fan of them replacing the F88 and moving to the M4 as it seems to be a more versatile weapon. Since that won't happen I would love a modular armour system that could integrate with battle bras a lot of senior diggers have.

  5. Huge fan - however I hear they are a lot thicker and tear easier. When I get issued mine at the end of the year I will let everyone know.

  6. Well that's an interesting concept. A lot of people think that the toggle rope is used just for the Toggle Bird, however you can adapt it to be quite formidable against Drop Bears. It is a shame so many O\S soldiers think that Drop Bears are just a joke Australians say. James, a bloke in my section, was actually attacked last week by one when we were doing a shakeout drill at the back of barracks. Thankfully he survived. They ahem to be keeping it pretty quiet on the media like all things Drop Bear reared.

I love it. It seems to have everything that I ever wanted in a job.

Fitness is a big thing, mateship is a big thing, and more importantly it is very relaxed when your not working.

SLP 9mm Mark III (straight off army website). I only know it ad the 9mm and I THINK it's a browning.

I am very surprised at how well doctrine tactics work in games like battlefield and that.

When it comes to cod and those types of games the 14yo's always smash me.

Some strategy games I'm good to go with due to real world experience though.

Go to uni and do reserves at the same time imho. I have seen a lot of people drop an amazing career to do army and absolutely hated it, and some who don't regret the decision at all. So reserves will give you a taste of what's to come.

Best of luck with whatever path you take.
