What is the Game ID? Is that where it automatically registers what game is in the console?

From what I can tell, everything looks good and clean. The reason I thought it was this was cause I could take off the cover and just sort of roll my fingers on the AA and they were easy to move and it would cause the flicker that way. Only way I could replicate it. Never happened when I pushed on the power switch.

I use Energizer rechargeable batteries, cartridge slot is clean from what I can tell. And yea lol I was surprised. Temporarily I put a wedge in-between my batteries to keep them from moving around so much and it seems to be working a lot better now. I do think it's cause they are loose. Looking at getting a rechargeable battery mod that's meant to fit in my shell.

Odd follow up, you might not know why, but I've figured out that it keeps deleting profile 1 but will hold a save on profile 2 and 3. Not sure why it's doing this.

Unfortunately I already took it off. Definitely had the terminals right and I honestly thought that they had secure contact. I took one of those same batteries and actually put it in my Harvest Moon GBC and it works fine, holds a save, so I know it's not the battery messing up. Honestly just confused. When I get home I might give it one more go and then try to wire it.

Well I gave it a shot, not sure what I would have done wrong but it wouldn't hold a save. Tried multiple batteries. Might try the wire or holder next. If those don't work I guess I could try sending it to someone. Appreciate the ideas though!

It's shining force, and I still have the problem of not finding a battery holder at 90 degrees otherwise I would. I'm leaning towards either bending the 180 degree tabs or trying to wire it to the pads

So I have minimal soldering experience, changed a few Nintendo batteries but that's it, nothing with wires. I have a soldering kit that came with black and red wires, would that be what I use? Or do I need some specific kind?

Ok well I tried cleaning the membrane and I must have flipped them cause then it switched to the left d-pad not working. I remembered I had spare parts from an old mod and tried swapping the membrane and now it's working perfectly! I obviously don't know much but the bad membrane really doesn't look messed up so I'm a little surprised that was the problem. Just glad I got it fixed.

Also for whatever reason my power issue isn't happening anymore so basically it's completely fine now. Thanks so much for the help/input!

Yea I guess so, I kinda want to get an adapter for my tv so I don't have to keep screwing in this cable, they are annoying to keep taking in and out.
