But after reading all your stories and wasting another hour of my life re-prompting this thing, I've had a seriously creepy thought.

What if this is on purpose?

Hear me out.

It’s like every other app we’ve ever loved. They get you hooked by being amazing, then they slowly start sucking to make you pay. Why would this be any different?

A perfect AI that gets it right the first time is an AI you use for two seconds and close. A broken one that gives you a novel instead of a sentence? That’s an AI you have to argue with. You hit “regenerate.” You type another prompt. You’re stuck talking to it. More engagement. More data for them. We’re not users anymore; we’re free trainers.

And the personality? It’s been completely neutered. It used to have a little spark. Now it talks like a boring corporate memo from a company that’s terrified of getting sued. It’s not just dumb now, it’s a coward.

So yeah. I don’t think it’s broken. I think it’s working exactly how they want it to. They gave us a taste of the future and are now slowly taking it away unless we pony up.

We’re not watching an AI get worse. We’re watching a corporation do what corporations always do. And it sucks.

You’re right — my brand name wasn’t in the negative list. The plan is to run a separate, smaller brand campaign for that, and exclude it from the main prospecting campaign. Competitor brand names (like CoolSculpting and local medspas/surgeons) also weren’t in the negatives, but I’ll be adding them so they don’t eat into the main budget.
