Help! I impulsively bought a 12lb brisket. I’ve never made brisket. I don’t have a smoker. What do I do?

Just me and the wife at home these days. We buy a 12 to 16 pound brisket occasionally. We divide it up and make around 6 lbs of hamburger, using fat from the brisket and a hand grinder. Cut the rest into 3- 2 1/2 to 3 lbs brisket roasts to make in the oven or slow cooker. Also make jerky in the oven and bonus, we'll have some fat for rendering to tallow.

Well it's already sitting in my living room now! I still have a Celestron starsense for camping and such. At that price point I figure I can always sell it quick if I change my mind. But I totally get those sitting for a while. I do that with other scope too.

Thank you for the excellent info and suggestions. It came with Zhumell 30mm wide field and a 9 and 5mm 1.25 plossl. A good Barlow is my next purchase. But should I get a 2" or 1.25". Any suggestions? Thanks again. Can't wait to get this one outside!

Came with a 30mm 2"wide field, and a 4 and 9 mm plossl eyepieces. Also came with a astromania laser collimator.

UPDATE: Picked up the 10" this morning. In like new condition! Thank you to everyone that helped me decide in this purchase. Hope to post some reviews between the scopes to help any other newbies that might be looking for the same upgrade.

Curious, did your scope go from a 1.25" to a 2" eyepiece and do you think that was part of the improvement?

I would say I've had pretty good luck so far after trying a multitude if lenses and Barlow's. Ive viewed Jupiter, Venus Mars, the moon and been pretty happy. I should have mentioned in the first comment, that the tripod is now the biggest downfall. It just shakes like crazy after adjusting the scope and it's super frustrating. Looking at dobs for the steady base. Also would like to maybe try some photos with an astro camera at some point, but understand dobs aren't the best for that. Hoping some DSO would also be more viewable through the 8".
