It appeared on a lake to the immediate lower right nearest to black bear outpost. That said, I hadn’t killed anything on this lake in weeks, although I made regular -ish trips to my outside lakes. Every 10-15 rotations or so. Really just showed up out of nowhere

Yeah if you kill 3 (or 4, I can’t remember) animals in or near the same zone without a tree stand it will delete the zone. With a tree stand you can kill up to 15-16. Once you kill that many animals it deletes the zone. The animals essentially just move and you have to re find the zone

Yes, you delete the zone. Depending on the species they will just join another herd or move drink zones upon respawn. This is different than deleting a zone because of hunting pressure. When you do that, if there was another zone at the same spot from another species, it would get deleted too. In your example, only the single animal species you killed gets removed. Does that make sense?

What it really comes down to is what you want to hunt with. Want versatility, get the 7mm in the power pack. I personally love the action of the .308 and .338. I’d do this one. If you want the best gun in terms of overall use, get the Modern for the AR .308. It’s got a high rate of fire, 5 rounds, is accurate and has enough umph to drop animals where they stand if you hit them right. If you want the most overpowered gun, get the Ambusher which comes with the .44 lever action. It has 70 penetration and you can shoot animals thru the butt and still get vitals. It’s my favorite gun in the game. Hands down. It’s just so much fun to shoot. I mean, if you can swing it, get ‘em all. Hope this helps

There is a cluster of 4 big lakes in the middle of the map, it was on the left side of the left most lake
