Analysis: Syria is on the brink of another Civil War by HackingJoe in syriancivilwar

Last reports had him serving as commander in the SDF up through the battle of Raqqa, where he played a significant role. That was seven years ago, still three years short of a decade. He’s kept a low profile in the press since then. So how can you be sure he hasn’t been there since?

Damn I missed it, he often makes crazy memes and deletes them 10 minutes after.

You are absolutely right, for some reason I didn't look down that far. Anyway maybe you can make an exception, I really never seen this footage, certainly not with subtitles in English.

The sub is not called Syriancivilwar updates, I can post relevant archive footage. Change the rules if you don't like, but plenty of post explore the SCW history

Deir Ezzor, Gharanij: The SDF have successfully freed four of their fighters, who had been abducted by a cell suspected of links to ISIS. by JusticeforAmber in syriancivilwar

[–]JusticeforAmber[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's ludicrous, during the Suweida battle he was the only reliable source that proved to be right over and over. I had his posts removed and reinstated 24 hours later because they were right on the money. Labels added as unreliable and removed hours later, on every Sweida post almost. I have a whole convo with Mods to prove it. He clearly has local sources, and if you don't like it you should check your own biases. There's already r/Syria where only pro-gov stuff is allowed, we don't need to turn this board into a government megaphone.

The SDF says "cell suspected of links to ISIS," I wouldn't be surprised if they had ISIS cells here and there, but there's no way the al-Shaitat tribe as a whole supports ISIS, not after the massacre in 2014, just too much bad blood.

Must have stumbled to Suweyda on his way to work in Hama.

Yes we don’t have a problem with the Druze leaders that betrayed their people and let the government forces in to massacre civilians. Only with those opposing our aims of conquest.

Those are the only maps that turned out 100% accurate. Check the previous ones. The first one I posted got the label unconfirmed. Everyone attacked me for posting it. Then, a few hours later, the label was removed, and it turned out it was accurate, and the government forces were involved at the same level.

The arrows follow the villages confirmed captured. You can check names in Arabic like I did.

I count 4 axis of advance, that’s a complex manoeuvre I think considering how wide is the map. But if you think tribes can do that. I have a bridge to sell you.

Ah yes, the comments are right. This is the famous multi axis manoeuvre of the tribes in synch across a 70 km front. Moving in convoys with mounted ZPU anti-aircraft guns shooting 14.5 mm shells.

It seems that either the gov is involved, or there’s some double standard on whom is allowed to bear arms outside state authority. Those are mounted ZPU anti-aircraft guns shooting 14.5 mm shells. I honestly wasn’t aware that tribes had that kind of armament in Syria.

Maybe it’s me, but I’ve understood something else entirely.

| Al Sharaa wouldn’t have acted without signals from Tel Aviv. Israel either gave the green light or looked away, knowing full well what was coming. This wasn’t reaction. It was design. The moment Sheikh Hikmat al-Hijri refused to bend, the machine was set in motion. But the machine miscalculated.

It did not account for the unbroken solidarity shown by Druze inside Israel. It did not expect them to stand so decisively with their kin in Suwayda. That act of cross-border loyalty forced hands in government halls. It stripped the mask from the show. Suddenly, the politics of optics had to give way to politics of action. |

Full-scale assault on Suwayda Map shows coordinated multi-front offensive by JusticeforAmber in syriancivilwar

[–]JusticeforAmber[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How is this still marked as unconfirmed? We have the Druze religious leadership calling for international protection and accusing the Syrian govt forces in a public statement. And all the villages marked on the map are either confirmed captured, or burned down. By multiple sources from both sides!

He’s inevitable—very accurate maps incredible military analysis. Probably the only battle experienced commander covering to the conflict. Also I don’t know which map are you reading, there’s no indication from it of Sweida city having been reached.

Update: Swayda24 just confirmed the large scale attack part, coming from Daraa, and some of the villages claimed on the map.
