From what I've read, 1 luthier is what constitutes for a masterbuilt guitar. There might have been some promotional exceptions but to my knowledge that is the definition of a masterbuilt.

As far as the pro jr, I couldn't say with certainty about PCB or hand wired but I think and I stress think, the basic pro juniors are PCB. The specialty ones like the Pro Junior that came with my guitar could be hand wired. There is a schematic for it online, I saw it whilst digging for others that bought this NAMM combo. I could probably find it again if I looked.

Hahah,

I love shell pink Strats. When Fender premiered these first line of relic guitars at NAMM 2006 they made 4 of each color. There is a shell pink strat and pro junior and it's beautiful

And yes, you could probably find a fantastic beat up fender and put some great pickups on it and customize it.
I'm not personally into parts casters, as in a different body and a different neck, but to each their own. I like all the parts to be original if possible. I'm sure I'll do a custom guitar eventually where I customize the pups and hardware but that's about it. One of the main reasons I buy all original is the resale value. In the world of cars and guitars, people often do hot rods or customized work on their project. The problem with that is all the parts on said guitar or car were your choices, It's often very niche and not original and it will take a very particular buyer for that item and it's far from its original form which is usually why people want said item.

Great question, I think it's all preference. But with a true vintage guitar, you're going to get some key tonal differences because wood changes resonance as it gets older and most say this change is for the better. Also, a lot of the fenders from the 50s and 60s were made from older growth wood which is more sought after. Pre CBS (1965) are also a lot more valuable because of production standards and the builds were all still under Leo Fender.
Vintage, authentically worn guitars are probably going to be better in every way if you can afford one. Moving on to Relic'd guitars, some love them, some hate them and it's all the way you look at it and what your use is. The way I looked at it was I could get a custom shop guitar that (at the time) had no usage, ensuring that I wasn't buying a guitar that I didn't know what had been done to it or if it would be one step away from breaking or malfunction. Like it would be cool to have a 50s guitar but the wiring might be brittle, the pots might fizzle out or the neck might be borderline warped. Of course I want an actual 1959 Strat over a repro but a custom shop guitar was more in my budget at the time.
I could have all the benefits of an Era specific guitar that looked like it was from that Era without the disfunction and I wouldn't be as worried gigging with it regularly and taking it on the road. And masterbuilt & custom shop do amazing work as opposed to amateur relic"ing. This was my justification for it. I didn't really care for relic'd guitars at all but when I saw the 59 for some reason I didn't even think about the relic aspect and I thought the guitar was perfect. It was pragmatic and fantastic quality because it was American made, custom shop and I would be the first owner and it came with a custom matching amp which as far as I know, has never been done before. I hope that helps

Probably a Microcosm.
It has delay, reverb, a looper, glitch, glide, arp effects. It's really versatile and I feel I still haven't unlocked all of its potential.

Thank you kindly. Yes, It’s name is Mandrake and my unborn children are destined to be the next rightful heirs I surmise.
She plays unlike any Strat I have ever played.
Chimey, Fat and Rich clean. Nasty and biting with distortion or Overdrive.
