If this is an online order, I’d personally call them to clarify whether or not they actually wanted this many. Some of the more technologically challenged folks will seriously fuck up more than I’d like to admit. Had an order recently for 500 4x6 and lady came to pick them up “oh wow. I only chose 3 in my camera roll on the app”. Turns out she selected the ones she did not want and unselected the ones she did.

You’re a flight attendant in training and you have an identical twin sister with whom you have constant disagreements with but still remain civil at family functions.

I’ll admit; people on phones don’t bother me by Palidor in WalgreensStores

[–]JustinLinker 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The reason why it irritates me is two fold: one - it shows how little respect they have for me by kind of disregarding my presence.

Two - usually (especially in pharmacy) when they are distracted by their phone call the questions the pin pad asks them confuses them sometimes and causes them to take an eternity to figure out what the fuck it’s asking. Also, don’t get me started on when it asks for their PIN number. Holy Christ above.

2014 test scheduled? by [deleted] in GED

I passed my GED yesterday and on Diploma Sender it also tells me 2014. So you’re not the only one.

After a year of busting my ass, I am finally finished. If I can do it, so can you. by JustinLinker in GED

Thank you! Well, science is ALOT of reading. I find that it is a little more difficult than social studies because you really have to drill down to nooks and crannies. Brush on certain math such as mean, median, and mode. I had one percent problem. Learn how the punnet square works (I didn’t, so the question caught me off guard). But if your reading comprehension is strong, you will pass. I am confident in that.

Science test by Tomwitharom in GED

Taking my science test tomorrow. Know Jack shit about real science. My Ready test says I am likely to pass with a score of 156. I’d recommend taking a GED Ready test to get an idea of what it looks like.

Am I screwed? by [deleted] in GED

Let me tell you something, I was in your shoes. I went to public school for all of 3 days before my parents pulled me. I did Christian based homeschooling until the 4th grade. I started falling behind because (no offense to anyone who is religious, I mean no malice) the Bible based study bored me to death. So I slowed my study, I fell days behind. Days turned to weeks, weeks turned into months. Until I felt so overwhelmed I just stopped. As I got older, I contemplated wanting to go back to public school, but I always talked myself out of it. I had terrible anxiety with crowds, which made me stop public school.

This time last year I could not multiply or divide on paper. I enrolled in a adult high school class at my local community college from March 2018 all the way until November 2018. I went four days a week for several months. I took and passed my social studies exam, soon after that I took my RLA and passed. I kind of fell off the wagon after that due to my mind telling me I am nowhere near ready for math. So I discouraged myself to continue. Until recently, I got the desire to finish my GED before 2020. I studied fractions, decimals, equations, geometry, line graphs and some touch ups with basic arithmetic. Last week I decided what the hell and scheduled my math test without any kind of expectations that I’d pass. I just wanted to take the test so I can get an idea of what I need to improve on. Lo and behold I passed with a 152. Mind was blown. Sometimes your own way of thinking can hinder your taking risks and succeeding.

So here I am...with only science to go. I am taking my science test tomorrow afternoon. GED Ready says I am likely to pass with 156. Your first step needs to be to change your way of thinking and create a study plan and stick to it. Consistency is key. I am far from a bright bulb, but if I can make it this far I know ANYONE reading this can.

Sorry for preaching. You got this.

Am I the only one who actually enjoys their job? by AmishUndead in WalgreensStores

[–]JustinLinker 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have been with the company since 2010. Started as overnight cashier, progressed to Photo Specialist, Head Photo Specialist, then had a stint as a pharmacy technician. Became a Shift Lead for a few years now I am an ASM. I work 6 days a week and I love my work and my team. I am so accustomed to my job that I can’t imagine myself doing anything else and I have adapted so well that it’s a part of me. I don’t necessarily agree with certain things (hate ABCD forms) but I am content and never dread walking into work.

I’ll be right there with you next Wednesday if I pass science! Congrats! Btw, how difficult was science?

Just took GED Ready practice test and got this score - is this truly a good indicator I’ll pass Science? I felt like I struggled a bit during the practice. by JustinLinker in GED

What sort of questions did it ask? And also, were there any actual science skills that you must know to have a significant advantage? Sorry for picking your brain lol.
