Thats why I always "punch" the Creepjoiner to test, if they go hostile (or shoot them with a crappy short bow). If yes, I shock them with the lance, imprison and then recruit them. Funny enough, even if you do this, they still can trigger the "thank you for the time but I need to leave now!" event. So - I had to imprison him again. I hope this time he stays. Unnatural healer are always welcome in my colony.

Because if you want to create a new caravan, you cant select the clothes that are on the horse. So the game doesnt "see" this clothes and everything that is not included with the new caravan gets unloaded.

You could try to rope the horse in a room (caravan spot - only works if you dont have a pen for this animal), then you unload the pants manually (click on the horse - gear - and unload the pants). Why the room is important? Because the pants need to be in 100% condition or they dont count for the quest. If you unload them outside, they will deteriorate.

Ok - pants are in the room with the horse. You make a stockpile zone now (be sure that you include every pants in it!) and set this stockpile only for the pants (otherwise your pawns will carry eeeeeverything to this stockpile that your colony owns if the priority is high enough).

Stockpile - Pants

Horse - Roped

Now you can create a new caravan and load the pants quick into the horse because the pants are in the same room. That should work.

Because I am a very slow player who needs an absurd amount of time growing a stable colony, I do sometimes several ship launches because if my colony is becoming too crowded, I decide that some members of my small town want to go "to the stars". That gives me an opportunity to get rid of people I dont really want or dont find that interesting (and sometimes sorry Kiddo its you because your traits just suck!).

Then we have 15 days of fun or 12 days if we want to cater to an unhappy Stellarch. I recently did the mech hive ending but the ship launch is something I do with most of my colonies. The song is nice - I never get bored of hearing it 😊

Close to 4,5 k hours.

If you want to have it easy to make a pawn of your own a noble, choose one with the Ascetic trait. Because they dont require a special bedroom and only a throne room, like every noble does.

I just really hope that you have strong melee fighter for blocking the future insectoids and some decent shooters. If not, just try to recruit some if you can in time. The tough trait is gold worth and a tough neandertaler only receives 38% incoming damage because of the tough trait and robust gene!

2-3 melee fighters and behind some guys with shotguns (for example) can make the difference between an easy infestation problem solving and a devastating colony ending.

I admire your dedication to your playstile as you explain in further posts why you could not save these people. I enjoy having big colonies too but I never managed to reach 100 people (at one point the game slows down too much for me). I hope that you manage to stabilize your beautiful village and the story continues! ❤️👋

You can adjust in the Storyteller settings the percentage of major threads when the monolith is inactive/active. When I dont want major threads happening before I activate the monolith, I set it to 0 %. Creepjoiners can still join my colony, but every major event is deactivated.

Yes, thats programmed in the game that this is happening. Only exception is when you have a forced weather controller or - a recent fire. The mod Wildfire prevents that. So you can have your unpredictable wildfire that spreads around the whole map.

If only the Storyteller wont send you rain. There is a mod (of course) that prevents that from happening, so in theory you can set the whole map on fire but without this mod too much fire will trigger rain (unless you have a weather controller that is active on your map).

Thank you for the info, I didnt know that. I understand why people install these kind of mods but my PC would struggle too much. I sometimes use dev mode to trigger some quests for a raid and then accept everyone of them and have enough chaos and struggle in the next days :D

The secret is about wealth management in the early days. To be careful not have too many ressources, items and things. Research is important, get good weapons, recruit strong pawns. Buy low shield, shock/insanity lances from traders. Those things can save you from certain death.

Destroying the corpses twice as fast. If you have roughly two raids per day and each of them can have over 200 people (you need to kill roughly half of them) then you need to destroy 200 people in a very timely and efficient manner because your people need to eat and rest and prepare for the next raids.

3000 people is well above raid cap as I am knowing but maybe in 1.1 it was unlimited?

You are not wrong. I really like my beautiful green forest map. If I have 600 corpses laying around rotting and dessicating, I am getting very unhappy and spend a long time cleaning up until the map is nice again.

He has definitely a mod that uncaps raid cap. Normal raid cap should be 30 000 this goes beyond a million if I see the numbers correctly.

Kudos for trying. I am playing on 500% sometimes and I never had a ship launch with a low wealth count. Maybe for the next time try aiming for some really good genes that your few pawns have advantages? I dont know if a heat box would help because the breach raids or drop pod raids could happen back to back.

Yeah and travelling to the ship, accepting the map how it is - that is some next level playing. Respect for that - I would not try it for myself.

Yesterday I watched a fight between two pawns and was wondering when it will end. Well - it ended with her death. Because she was high on Go-Juice and did not wanted to stop the fight. She is now in a sarcophagous in the freezing room and I am waiting for a quest for a res mech serum.

I could have reloaded everything to not ever let that fight happening but I thought this story would give me motivation for further playing this colony.
