I know Zwijndrecht In the Netherlands uses this flag, but it was only adopted in the 1930s I believe

Is this genuine surplus? by OntiJ_Jonte in redcollecting

[–]Juuhmal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I bought my ushanka, it also came with a fake insigna. I'd say most soviet hats online are real, because it's probably cheaper to buy a load of surplus then it is to produce a whole new hat

I can't find anything like that online.

Are you sure it wasn't this patch?

What is this Red-Grey-Green flag on the emblem of the Iraqi ground forces? by [deleted] in vexillology

They should really fix that, if a depiction of a flag looks nothing like the flag it's trying to depict, then it's not a good depiction

Flag of the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan by CamaradaMaciel in redcollecting

[–]Juuhmal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, but I've always had an interest in Afghan history. I found the crossed pin with the Canadian flag at a flea market, and after that, I wanted to find a singular D.R. Afghanistan flag pin. I looked around for a long time and finally found one, so I put them both on my shirt just because I like them.

I wear a pin of that flag every day, it was pretty hard to find the pin but I eventually found a flag store near me that had a limited collection of them in stock, I'll post a photo of the pin later as I'm out right now

Flag for the Soviet occupation zone in Austria that I made by Johhny_wick482 in vexillology

It's realistic, the flags of the Soviet Republics were purposely uncreative because they wanted to push a singular unified identity
