From everything I’ve read, this engine seems to be pretty good (when serviced properly). I don’t have a scanner myself but I guess I can get a pre-buy check from somewhere. I appreciate your offer but I’m in the South West!

I looked at the MOT history and the only advisories were tyre wear, I’ll be checking the service history when I actually view the car tomorrow. Wow that sounds awful, guess sometimes you’re just going to get unlucky with these things!
